VOLUNTEERS WANTED — STAGE HANDS / FUTURE STAGE MANAGERS

Tiny Theater is looking for volunteers to help backstage with an upcoming staged production—and to learn the basics of stage management along the way.

No previous theater experience is necessary. We’ll provide free hands-on instruction in the role and responsibilities of a stage manager for those interested in learning.

Volunteer duties will include:

• Rearranging lightweight set pieces between scenes
• Helping keep the stage and backstage area organized
• Assisting with simple backstage tasks during the performance
• Helping with post-performance cleanup and putting things away

Nothing heavy or strenuous. We’re looking for dependable people who enjoy theater, like working with others, and would enjoy being part of a live production.

LEARN STAGE MANAGEMENT — FREE INSTRUCTION

For volunteers who want to take it further, Tiny Theater will provide an introduction to stage management, including:

• Calling and coordinating the show
• Working with actors and the director
• Managing scene changes and backstage activity
• Keeping track of props, set pieces and production needs
• Understanding what happens behind the curtain

This is an opportunity to volunteer, learn a new theater skill, and gain practical backstage experience with Tiny Theater’s acting ensemble.
