Hi! I'm Jenny! Wife to Joel and mom to 4 adorable (mostly virtually-anonymous) youngins aged 3 to 8. As a midwesterner raised on Girl Scouts and tent camping, I was quite proud of my college nickname: "Jenny Bell, Recycler from Hell." I toned it down (a bit) after finding Jesus. And a bit more since our first duty station (Before Germany: "Americans Are SO Consumeristic!" ... During Germany: "I Miss My Free Ketchup!!"). And then a bit more once babies came along ("Yes, I NEED my THREE robot vacuums!")
As a one-income family living on an enlisted soldier's paycheck, I've always loved the idea of a side hustle. I've looked on in admiration (jealousy) at my talented homemaking mom friends with their small side businesses and doubted that I could ever do anything like that...
But then one day after residing in Idaho for a year and a half, the idea for 'glass pickup' popped into my head! Curious, I created a poll on the Nampa Chatter facebook page and was so pleasantly surprised at the responses! Nearly 60% of the 40 respondents chose Option 2 ("the convenience would get me to recycle my glass bottles")!
So, now here we are. The kiddos and I are so excited. I'm so excited to have found something that ticks all the boxes (something I could manage with kids, and something I could feel good about). And the youngins, well, they get excited about just about anything. Yes. Even. Tossing. Bottles. Into. A. Dumpster.
