About the Weeks Endowed Chair: Mary Lea Benson Weeks was a 1902 State Normal School graduate from the University. She married miner and cattle rancher, Seneca Weeks, in 1907. She left an estate gift to the University to establish an endowed chair in the basic sciences, which was established in 1983.
