Lakeview Terrace was built on the mouth of the Cuyahoga River, on a sloping hillside over-looking Lake Erie. (Cleveland Historical) It's comprised of the following streets; Loop Drive, River Road, Division Avenue, Washington Avenue, W. 25th, and W. 28th streets.
It's physically comprised of the high rise, apartment buildings, row houses , a multi-purpose community center, and multiple playgrounds. (Cleveland Historical) These 44 buildings are located on a 22-acre site with a 80 foot elevation. (Case Western Reserve)
The reason these buildings have been able to remain standing for the last 83 years is because of its fire proof construction. The walls are made of brick on tile, the roofs and floors are made of concrete, and the windows were encased with steel. (Case)
