School Interests?
One of the most influential courses I've taken during my time at GVSU was WRT 455 - Multimodal Composing. Throughout this course, I developed a deep appreciation for alternative forms of storytelling and writing beyond just the textual mode. I'm fascinated by the possibilities of combining various mediums, such as audio, visual, and digital, to create rich and engaging narratives.
Personal Interests?
I love cartoons! I enjoy analyzing the complex themes and emotions that can be conveyed through this medium. From exploring the depths of human experience to highlighting important social issues, cartoons offer a unique and powerful lens through which to view the world.
Home Life?
I own a funny little guy (others might call a housecat) named Zuko. He acts nothing like his eponymous counterpart, but I still love him anyways.
Sorry to Bother You
Directed by: Boots Riley
I've watched this film numerous times and each one is more enjoyable than the last. The movie has an amazingly satirical take on capitalism and the exploitation of the working class from the point of view of a character climbing the cooperate ladder. The writing is incredibly stylistic and the film is visually memorable. I recommend if you're willing to give the weirdness of it a fair shot.
Attack on Titan

My favorite plot of all time! One of the few pieces of media that leaves me speechless. I wish I could convince everyone to give this story a try because it literally changed my perspective on life. If that doesn't intrigue you, then let me ask the question this plot aims to answer: What is freedom?
Breaking Bad
Vince Gilligan
It definitely not controversial to say this is one of the best shows ever created. Plus, I'm a sucker for a descent into madness.

It may be a children's cartoon... but ATLA has some of the best writing, character development, and worldbuilding I've ever seen. It tackles themes of war and peace, as well as cultural diversity and self-identity all with such creativity. The cartoon is entertaining, even after multiple watches, and will always hold a special place in my heart.
S.
Written by: Doug Dorst and J.J. Abrams
Such an incredible reading experience! With a format I have never seen before and an engaging double narrative, this novel shot right up to the top of my list. I felt genuinely immersed into the world of the two main characters talking in the margins, as well as in the story they were reading. A must-read!
On the Heights of Despair
E.M. Cioran
Though incredibly depressing, the writing in Cioran's essays is so saddeningly beautiful, I was brought to tears many times while reading this. If you interested in existentialism, nihilism, or just feeling unenthusiastic about life, I highly recommend.
Gojo Satoru
Jujutsu Kaisen
I could write endlessly about the complexity and depth to Gojo that is veiled by his personality of cockiness and goofiness. His relationship with Geto, his students, and the Jujutsu higher ups ia so incredibly well-done. Watch JJK and wait until season two to understand what I mean. I'll leave you with this: "Are you Gojo Satoru because you're the strongest, or are you the strongest because you're Gojo Satoru?"

Each song explores the life and experiences of one of the characters pictured on the album cover. This makes it so fun to listen to in it's entirety, but the individual songs have gone on so many of my playlists. If you think you'll like indie rock and pop mixed with elements of electronic music, then definitely check this out!
