Questions about using Tina
When submitting a report, please include your device model, iOS version, and a short description of the issue so we can better understand the problem.
Tina estimates your daily calorie target using the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, a widely used formula for estimating Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), or the number of calories your body may burn at rest. The equation uses your age, sex, height, and weight to estimate your BMR, then adjusts it based on your selected goal, such as maintaining, losing, or gaining weight. These calorie targets are only estimates and should be used as general guidance, not as medical or professional nutrition advice. Individual needs may vary depending on activity level, metabolism, health conditions, and other factors. For personalized nutrition guidance, please consult a qualified healthcare or nutrition professional.
About Nutrition Estimates
Tina may provide estimated calories and macros for meals. These estimates are intended as helpful guides only and may not always be 100% accurate.
Users are encouraged to review and adjust their meal logs when needed.
Tina only uses basic information needed for calorie and macro estimation, such as height, weight, age, sex, and fitness goal.
