The field in which the application site is located is split between 7 different groups of owners. No individual plot being bigger that 3 acres. 5 of the owners are local residents, one is from Winchester and one is from Southampton.
The field grade 3 agricultural land and until we started investigating the planning options it had historically been used for Maize production and cannot be said to be of visual significance.

The plot in question is in the North West corner of the field bordered by New Road the and A3057.
The proposed development consists of three domestic units facing a courtyard garden surrounded by an earth embankment. Access is from the North and rear with garages earth sheltered behind the dwellings. Solar panels are placed behind the garages.
