Camp Shine is simply an amazing opportunity for kids to find passion in the arts . Our kids Dax & Rio Piburn have been with Camp Shine for 4 years and we literally plan our summer around the Camp Shine dates so they can attend. What Mrs. Baughman and the staff do in 2 weeks with these kids is beyond exceptional. The kids not only learn so much about musical performances, they learn what amazing things they can accomplish if they are willing to try. They teach them through determination, hard work , and love for what you do anything is possible . It is more than a camp to these kids they are a family … they look forward to seeing their cast members each year and cry when it’s over. You can see the pure joy in each one of these kids eyes as they perform. That is a pretty amazing thing to see at such a young age and it’s a gift from Camp Shine that we will forever be grateful for. They make magic happen each and every year and the kids find a place where their passion and love for music and theater is appreciated.. We still don’t know how Trisha and the staff does it in such a short time … but each year we are blown away and beyond grateful that she does. We can’t wait to see what she has in store this summer !!!

My two daughters attended Camp Shine with Ms. Baughman in 2015 and 2017. They had lots of fun, learned alot about performing, and made some new friends. Ms. Baughman and the rest of her crew did a wonderful job of putting everything together in such a short time, and the shows were great! I have recommended this program to friends, and would recommend it again to anyone whose child is interested in choir/drama performances.

Six years ago this summer, we enrolled Nicky and he was MISERABLE. Only a kindergardener, he was very nervous about a new experience like theatre camp. We were on verge of withdrawing him after two days and Trisha said “give me two more days, and I promise you he will love it”

Camp Shine is amazing! Mrs. Baughman loves what she does and that is emulated in every show and every child. My son has attended Camp Shine for 5 summers, it is his favorite summer activity. We plan our summer vacations around this camp. My son has always loved theater and looks for many opportunities in the area to perform. He always tells me that Mrs. Baughman is the best Director he has ever worked with. Every child shines at Camp shine, I recommend this camp for beginners and advanced performers. Everyone is a star! My daughter, Mari, found her love for the theatre the first time I took her to see a play when she was 4 years old. During elementary school, we heard about Camp Shine and it was a dream come true for her. She began her Camp Shine journey after 2nd grade, and I cannot recommend it enough. She has been in 4 Camp Shine productions and counts down to July every year. During her years at camp she has received amazing training in acting and singing. What is so impactful to me is also the feeling of belonging and self confidence she’s gained that she carries with her in all that she does. Now, as a 6th grader, she was one of the first soloists chosen for her school’s show choir. I know that Camp Shine has played a tremendous part in developing her vocal range, stage presence, and audition ability. The amazing directors at Shine have played a large part in helping my once timid child become a self confident young lady. I cannot thank them enough for the hard work they pour into amazing instruction and beautiful productions. Each of you will carry a special place in my heart; I appreciate the love and care you show my daughter.

Camp Shine is amazing!

My daughter has been attending for 3 years now. She enjoys many different camps in the summer, but this is one that she will absolutely not miss!! We even have to plan our summer vacation around it.

It is amazing what Mrs. Baughman and her team teach the kids over a couple of weeks. I didn’t have very high expectations in the beginning, but I was certainly surprised! The productions are not just another “school play”, but an incredible full-fledged production. When my daughter started, she was a very shy little girl. This camp has really helped her to gain confidence, and she’s no longer afraid to speak/perform in front of a crowd. I would highly recommend Camp Shine for all kids. You will not be disappointed!

I cannot say enough great things about Camp Shine. My daughter has been going to Camp Shine for 4 years and was so excited when she learned this year was not going to be her last year after all. If your child(ren) enjoys acting, singing and dancing or maybe just wants to try, then this camp is for them. They will make great friends and become a little family. It is amazing to see what the kids can learn and do in just two weeks. Well worth the money. Mrs. Baughman and the rest of her team are AMAZING. We highly recommend Camp Shine. It is a wonderful experience for young theatre students. They attend classes and rehearsals and learn to what's involved in putting on a show. This is a great opportunity for kids to be introduced to creating live theatre or to improve their skills if they have participated in theatre before.

We are fortunate to have Camp Shine in our area. My son loved his Camp Shine experience! He still talks about it nonstop and can’t wait until next summer when he can sing, dance and act again. Camp Shine was the absolute highlight of my daughter's summer. Actually, it was the highlight of the summer for our entire family!

Being a part of the Frozen Jr. cast was Abby's first Camp Shine experience and it was AH-MAZE-ING! Camp Shine gave Abby an opportunity she had never had before and it opened up a whole new world to her - the world of theater. It was absolutely incredible how the cast was able to put on such a wonderful production after just two weeks of camp and lots of practice, practice, practice, of course!! Abby was thrilled to be a part of the Frozen Jr production and we were so proud of her moments on stage. Mrs. Baughman and her crew have a gift for putting an amazing group of kids together for a wonderful show. She also has a gift for making these kids feel important. She believes in these kids and they know it! She gave Abby the encouragement and tools she needed to be confident and shine on stage! It was exciting for our family to be a part of the experience by supporting our daughter during camp, practicing at home, and being in the audience cheering for her and all the talented kids on stage. We are so looking forward to the next Camp Shine!
