Through the modules of this course, I created a problem-based learning (PBL) unit focusing on how technology can be used to help students meet learning outcomes and gain 21st century skills in specific content areas. Educational technology helps to support students in being creative, self-directed learners. It gives them the ability to participate in engaging and enriching learning experiences where students can solve problems that affect them. The unit I created is focused on the 4th grade Georgia Science standard about weather and the water cycle. As students learn about the content, they are guided to create a Powerpoint presentation and weather report video which could be used as a part of the morning announcements.
