Using the knowledge I gained in my research methods class, and under the supervision of Dr. Allan Colbern at Arizona State University, I pursued personal research to uncover some of the obstacles, policies, and cultural and traditional practices that impact female members’ visibility within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
My hope is those who particpated in the survey, and readers of this compendium will recognize some of the traditional and cultural stumbling blocks that have a negative effect on women within the Church. Recognizing disparities, making suggestions, having conversations, and courageously and boldly speaking up will have postive and inclusive results.
