When Savanna went into her first ballet class as a child, she didn’t know that it would be the beginning of a life-long love of dance and music. She started dancing Lindy Hop and Blues all around Hampton Roads over 10 years ago, and has recently helped Tidewater Blues and Coalescence Swing bring dancers together in Norfolk. She’s also danced and taught professionally many other social dances over the years including Ballroom, Latin, and West Coast Swing, and loves every step and style!

As a teacher, she likes focusing on slow, grounded movement, and never forgetting the third dance partner: THE MUSIC! Weaving all the musical elements in a playful banter with your partner is something she loves to explore in teaching and on the dance floor. She is a forever-student who loves to learn and help others learn. No matter the song, style, or place, if there is music playing, grab her for a dance (because she’s probably already dancing).
