I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the The Abbaspourrad Lab in the Department of Food Science at Cornell University. I obtained my Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from Virginia Tech in 2020. Before that, I have one year of industry experience in China at a food ingredient and biotechnology company. I received my master's degree and bachelor's degree in Food Science and Engineering from China Agricultural University in 2014 and 2012. I serve as a Topic Editor in MDPI Publications and as a Content & Newsletter Lead in IFT Nutrition Division.
My research focuses on developing novel processing and encapsulation approaches to manipulate the structure of foods/ingredients and improve their stability, functionality, and bioactivity for industrial applications and health improvement. Find out more.
