About Me
My name is Bam Amornpetchkul. I am an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics (ISA), Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University. From 2014-2021, I was an assistant professor, and in 2022 I was promoted to an associate professor of Operations Management at the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) Business School in Bangkok, Thailand. During the academic year of 2017-2018, I was a visiting assistant professor at the Operations Management Department, Carroll School of Management, Boston College.
My research and teaching interests include Pricing and Revenue Management, Data Analytics, Forecasting Applications, Decision Making under Uncertainty, Startups and Innovations, Marketing and OM Interface, Finance and OM Interface, Supply Chain Management, and Healthcare Operations.
I received a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Operations and Management Science) from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, in 2014. Prior to that, I graduated from a dual-degree program at the University of Pennsylvania in 2008. I received a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Summa Cum Laude), Actuarial Science concentration, from the Wharton School, and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Summa Cum Laude), Computer Science major, from Penn Engineering.
