Curriki makes learning as accessible as possible. It's a non-profit organization who's goal is to get instruction into the hands of the students who need it the most. The lessons provided on curricula are peer reviewed and can be used as a research project or provided directly to the teacher. 

Relative Advantage

Curriki is a free and open faced educational resource. Not only do they have instructional opportunities for social studies, but they have various othe subject areas to explore for grades K-12. 

Expected Outcome

Students can not only read materials provided by other students and teachers from around the world but can provide and share their own ideas as well. Being able to collaborate and participate in hands on learning will help them to retain what they're learning in a better way.

Brain Pop is a website where kids can explore social studies by participating in games, watching videos, and exploring various lessons. Teachers can assign lessons in Brain  Pop as stand alone or integrate them into other social studies lessons.  

Relative Advantage

Brain Pop is easy to use and enjoyed by parents, teachers, and students. Along with its amazing social studies lessons, they also provide instruction in other subject areas as well. 

Expected Outcome

Students will love learning social studies and will ask to play the games on Brain Pop even at home. Gone are the days of students just memorizing social studies facts, and now they can step back in time and explore history in a new and exciting way.
