Emily has been playing competitive ultimate since 2007, in both women's and mixed divisions, in four different cities. This experience has given her a background in a wide range of different on-field skills and systems and exposed her to a variety of off-field approaches to team management.

On the field, she is the team's anchor - a smart and dynamic player willing and able to fill any role. She is excited about the opportunity to use her ultimate background to help build on Throwback's past successes, help each player improve their game, and keep growing women's ultimate in Edmonton.

Vanessa got hooked on ultimate during university (x number of years ago - we won't say how many) and has been a part of Edmonton's ultimate community ever since.

After a number of years playing recreationally, she began traveling to tournaments with a ragtag group of ladies passionate about women's ultimate, and was one of the founding members of Flurry, Edmonton's women's competitive team. She is excited to continue to up her game while building the ultimate community in Edmonton as one of the captains of Throwback.
