Master's student Harim Lee delivered an oral presentation at the UTokyo Nursing International Conference 2026, held at the University of Tokyo.

The presentation, titled "Physical Activity in Community-Dwelling Older Adults Living with Dementia: An Exploratory Analysis Using Explainable Machine Learning" presented research exploring factors associated with physical activity in community-dwelling older adults living with dementia using an explainable machine learning approach.
This presentation provided an opportunity to share the research team's findings with international researchers and to engage in academic exchange on innovative approaches to healthy aging and dementia care.

Professor Kyung Hee Lee presented the study, "Which Evidence-Based Interventions Are Most Effective in Advancing Healthy Aging Among Older Adults with Cognitive Impairment? Evidence From a Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials" at the 23rd IAGG World Congress of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG 2026).

The study systematically reviewed and synthesized evidence from randomized controlled trials to evaluate non-pharmacological interventions for healthy aging in older adults with cognitive impairment. The findings highlight the importance of tailored, multidomain intervention strategies to promote physical, cognitive, and psychosocial health and provide evidence to support healthy aging and dementia care.

Dr. Eun Hye Hong presented their research, "Functional Outcomes by Type of Home- and Community-Based Services in Older Adults with Dementia," at the 2026 Korean Gerontological Nursing Society Conference.

Using nationwide long-term care and health insurance data from Korea, the study examined how different types of home- and community-based services (HCBS) influence functional outcomes, including activities of daily living, cognitive impairment, and behavioral and psychological symptoms, among older adults with dementia over a two-year period. The findings provide evidence to support the development of more individualized, dementia-focused long-term care services and policies.

Professor Kyung Hee Lee successfully delivered a presentation at an international conference held in Hong Kong, presenting on “Digital Innovation in Psychological Well-Being.” The presentation attracted strong interest from an international audience of scholars and professionals in the field.

In addition, Gyeoul Jeong presented a study titled “Frailty and Depressive Symptoms in Community-Dwelling Older Adults: The Mediating Role of Nutritional Risk,” further contributing to academic discussions on aging and mental health.

Undergraduate Research Assistants  in the research team have successfully completed a structured training program in preparation for data collection and begin data collection.

Professor Kyung Hee Lee successfully delivered a presentation at the GSA 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting of The Gerontological Society of America, drawing strong interest from an international audience of scholars and professionals in the field of aging.
