Three Points Planning developed a tax incentives application encompassing more than 1400 parcels to assist in the redevelopment efforts of a severely blighted area. We also provided support on economic development strategies, affordable housing initiatives, and grant writing and review.

Dr. Patterson worked with Fortune 100 and 500 firms to locate, relocate and expand manufacturing and office operations in California, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas, and Washington. These projects included regional analysis, macro and micro site selection, incentives negotiations, project development, and receipt of incentives.

Dr. Patterson developed a course entitled Economic Development 101 for Planners through the Atlanta Regional Commission.
Dr. Patterson created a small business toolkit to help local communities and small businesses manage the threats of gentrification (Atlanta Regional Commission and Sizemore Group).

Three Points Planning is part of the IMT team for the Commercial Energy Building Code Field Study evaluating projects in Climate Zone 2. The study will establish a cost-effective, replicable methodology to assess the energy impact of code compliance. The study will uncover costs, barriers, and accuracy of various data collection methods and common issues with energy code compliance.
