Three Points Planning currently works with Ahmed Three throughout the City of Atlanta to develop at-risk properties for neighborhood stabilization.
Emerald Corridor Foundation
Three Points Planning developed a tax incentives application encompassing more than 1400 parcels to assist in the redevelopment efforts of a severely blighted area. We also provided support on economic development strategies, affordable housing initiatives, and grant writing and review.
Three Points Planning assisted a developer on a 500-acre mixed-use development in the pre-planning stages, including work with local municipalities to discuss potential shared resources.
Three Points Planning worked with Fortune 100 and 500 firms to locate, relocate and expand manufacturing and office operations in California, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas, and Washington. These projects included regional analysis, macro and micro site selection, incentives negotiations, project development, and receipt of incentives.
Dr. Patterson has produced a number of studies, projects, and publications on planning, economic development, and sustainability. Some examples include

Dr. Patterson currently teaches for the City and Regional Planning School in the College of Design at Georgia Tech.
CP 4020 Introduction to City Planning. In this course, she introduces non-planners to planning and zoning fundamentals, including comprehensive plans, innovative planning initiatives, redevelopment projects, and sustainability.
CP 6040 Masters Studio. In this course, Dr. Patterson worked with graduate students to develop an pathway to implementation for developers and a local community to follow to address housing and economic development needs of a distressed community.
CP 6412 Planning Local Economic Development. This graduate course explores theories and practice of local economic development planning with an emphasis on equity, sustainability, and resilience initiatives.
CP 9911 Short Course - Development Review Process. This short course walks students through typical development review processes including planning meetings, zoning codes, subdivision plats, site plans, architectural drawings, variance requests, and legal requirements.
Three Points Planning is currently working with the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA) to provide technical support on research and development of energy code resources and provide technical review of DOE Energy Code Field Study data collection.
Three Points Planning is part of the IMT team for the Commercial Energy Building Code Field Study evaluating projects in Climate Zone 2. The study will establish a cost-effective, replicable methodology to assess the energy impact of code compliance. The study will uncover costs, barriers, and accuracy of various data collection methods and common issues with energy code compliance.
