The fleetingness of childhood

These formed a section of a portfolio submitted as part of my application to study art and design several years ago but have otherwise remained in a private collection. 

Childhood can seem far too fleeting to a parent. Often I have wished to hold time still. My children are here captured in ordinary scenarios, shower cap, kitchen sink, a new dress. The monochrome edits sharpen a series of personal memories. Through evocative and textural tones, a single moment that can easily slip away into the past, can be relived and savoured.
