My efforts have been centred around pragmatic approaches to improving student learning experience. This includes assessment and curriculum design, incorporating innovative and targetted technological solutions, and a focus on include relevant and suitable lesson plans for students.
At Heriot-Watt University, I led the implementation of Gradescope and STACK. I created a bespoke exam booklet leading to Gradescope becoming a standard assessment platform for the university.
At the University of Melbourne, I initiated the use of online tools WebWork and Piazza. I was awarded an University of Melbourne Learning and Teaching Initiative grant to further develop the use of WebWork for three large-enrolment first year subjects in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. I was responsible for the operation of the mathematics support for students.
