I am an Assistant Professor at the Mathematics Department at Heriot-Watt University (Riccarton). My role includes exploring and developing the use of digital and online teaching technologies in the school as well as coordinate the delivery of large-enrolment first year and service subjects
I was a previously Level-A Tutor with the Mathematics and Statistics Learning Centre (MSLC) at the University of Melbourne in Australia.
I completed my Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia under the guidance of Professor Andrew Rechnitzer. My thesis involved applying analytical and numerical approaches in enumerative combinatorics to problems in statistical mechanics.
Previously, I majored in mathematics and physics at the University of Queensland and completed my honours project under the supervision of Professor Diane Donovan.
Outside of mathematics, I am an active participant in a range of sports including volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and badminton. I am an avid Euro style tabletop gamer. Given the opportunity (and the budget), I enjoy experiencing the variety of cuisines available around the city.
