I'm currently a postdoc at the Center for Cosmic Evolution Research at Ehime University in Japan. My research interests include AGN studies with a focus on how they co-evolve with their host galaxy. I study a variety of systems, ranging from massive, merging luminous infrared galaxies bursting with star formation to isolated dwarf galaxies with central, supermassive black holes that are producing 100s km/s winds. To learn about these impressive systems, I utilize world class telescopes including the Keck Observatory and the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).Â
I am currently leading a JWST program (GO-3663) that is investigating a sample of dwarf galaxies with strong evidence of hosting outflowing winds originating from the supermassive black hole that are capable of halting star formation.
