“I observed little children; I sensed their needs; I tried to fulfill them; they call that the Montessori Method.”
— Maria Montessori
At Thinking Kids Montessori, we believe each child is born with a deep desire to learn, grow, and become their best self. Inspired by Maria Montessori, we understand that from birth to age six, children learn in a unique way through the “absorbent mind,” naturally taking in everything around them through curiosity, exploration, and meaningful experiences—just as they learn language effortlessly by being part of their environment.
During these early years, children are guided by powerful inner interests. They may be drawn to movement, order, small details, sensory exploration, kindness, and respect, while also developing a natural love for language, reading, writing, music, and math. These are not just passing interests—they are signs of a child developing exactly as they are meant to. At Thinking Kids Montessori, we honor these moments by giving children the freedom, time, and gentle guidance to follow their interests, nurturing confidence, independence, and a genuine love of discovery.
When children are supported in this way, they enter what Montessori called “normalization.” This is when you begin to see the true child—a child who is calm, deeply focused, joyful in their work, naturally self-disciplined, and kind toward others. In our carefully prepared environment, this transformation is not forced, but protected and guided as we nurture the whole child—heart, mind, and spirit.
