Teaching Philosophy

I believe that students are capable of  learning anything through consistent attendance and practice. Remaining positive and setting attainable goals are essential components of success in any endeavor. Employing best practices and tested pedagogies, my instruction is tailored to meet the needs of the individual student.  We can incorporate your talents, gifts, and academic strengths in a plan that will help you reach your goals.  

Teaching Methods

By employing a combination of scaffolding supports, tech-enabled activities, interactive models, and creative tools, I will give you options to make learning easy and fun!  We will 'collaborate to educate', seeking to make connections to what you already know, while you expand your academic skills. I am tenacious and resilient-- I never give up!  That's how my students and I work together; our commitment to their plan helps them reach their learning goals.

Inclusion is an essential part of today's educational models, so it is important that I plan and adapt lessons to help people of varying abilities and backgrounds..  Our initial meeting is free.  We'll start with an interview to understand how I can best help you.  You can ask questions and share helpful  information.  My priority is for students to receive support that meets their individual needs.
