Warning: Chapter is rushed in some parts
You know, possessing True Magic is not as grand as it sounds
Sure, there's the initial excitement to becoming 33.334% closer to achieving true omnipotence - although I should probably not use finite percentage to describe things limitless in nature - but that feeling usually doesn't last long
You will realize that after a while, the ability to do anything, know anything and the authority of a God becomes...hmm...
..Ah, yes..absolutely, mind-numbingly boring
It is the feeling when you want to turn all of humanity into a bag of cheese. Snap them off into oblivion. Or just fuck someone's life up in the worst way possible. That you could do literally anything for your own entertainment, but the problem is that you couldn't
I suppose my mental condition is partly myself to blame, the one who had stupidly attempted to gain something no one could ever dream of achieving...and succeeded. The possibility of First Magic's creation, and the ability of Third Magic's materialization of the soul
One provides the opportunity for limitless growth, one provides boundlessness. Even if I have infinite power at my beck and call, both my body and my soul will always try to modify themselves at a rapid pace as long as there is room for growth inside me. It's a terrifying combination and I have no way to stop it
Thus, I myself had transcended the limit of what an average human is capable of, evolving into an existence that is alien to the concept of "common principles" itself
....
Due to your connection to the Root, several skills have been learned
[Universal Omniscience] had been maxed out
- You are capable of knowing and understanding every single occurrence in the past, present, future, and every other fundamental movement across the time axis on a universal scale without restriction
[Universal Omnipresence] had been maxed out
- Your presence is spread across the universe's space axis, allowing you to be present in virtually any thirteen-dimensional space while ignoring the laws of movement restriction and manipulation of sub-quantum properties divided by a finite value
[Spiritual Perfection] had been maxed out
- Your soul have achieved partial perfection in every existing aspect, devoid of any apparent flaws and defects. Any spiritual and magical weaknesses you possess are automatically nullified as long as they are present in the Akashic record
The risks I took was calculated
But man am I bad at math
If before, I am an entity that exists outside of space and time, now my soul is simultaneously inside and outside of reality at the same time, thus granting me resistance against attacks from both sides, as impossible as that sound
I closed my eyes and began concentrating, mentally blocking out the endless amount of information flowing into my head as I restricted the data flow into what an average human would be capable of, at the same time anchoring my location into a single point in space
As you can see, when you give an unassuming human powers beyond his comprehension, things will not turn good, at all. There's a reason why the Counter Force is a thing
One, now I don't have to worry about fighting an average Servant anymore, as I'm confident I could now match most of them in combat and come out relatively uninjured
But if you're asking me where the silver lining is in this...
Second, with the knowledge I gained from omniscience, I know the Seven Planet Types are trying to eliminate me, and to extension humanity due to Gaia's interference
Third, I now know what the Fourth and Sixth Magic are, as well as specific ways to obtain them. But after learning of their properties, that's a can of worms I'm not touching anytime soon. Being human again be damned
Sighing, I walked out of the room and toward the kitchen, silently contemplating other uses I can make out of this newfound power
<><><><><><><><><>
Well now, this is new
I stared blankly at the fruit knife in my hand, then at the moon outside the window, which had a large, deep gash on them with the shape of an 'X' on its surface
Without Reinforcement, knives aren't supposed to be able to cut a planet, are they?
[Unlimited Weapon Mastery] had been maxed out
- Having reached the pinnacle of wielding items as your weapon. You are capable of vastly surpassing any known masters of armed combat of any form, as you already knew and had achieved the highest order of mastery in all of them
[Unlimited Growth] had been applied
- Your weapon had now achieved a form of sentience after obtaining so much power. They have the ability to grow stronger in proportion with their user's power multiplied by an exponential factor of their rank
This is starting to become a pattern. When I max out a single "Skill", it modifies into a "True Skill". And now instead of ending there, we have a more potent, more lethal, self-evolved version called "Unlimited Skill"
What's next? "Absolute Skill"?
Using my power, I slowly sealed off the gashes with [Unlimited Alteration], still wondering how the hell a slip of the knife can do that
I shook my head, deciding not to think anymore about it as I turned to the bubbling pot of stew before me. My hand moved on instinct, adding a generous amount of Kosher salt in it
"Miss Rin, Miss Sakura. Dinner's ready!"
The pitter-patter of little feet echoing down the stairs could be heard as the two girls ran inside the kitchen, their faces that of barely contained hunger
My eyes narrowed upon taking in their appearances
Rin smells of gunpowder, while Sakura had...blood on her cheek?
Prana exhaustion. I concluded, looking at their tired state. Their body is running dangerously low on magic, which may be why their energy fluctuation is 22.54% fainter than last time
I fished a napkin from my pocket and wiped the blood off Sakura's face, smiling as she blushed in embarrassment
"I don't know what experiment you conduct on your own, but remember to be careful" I nodded to both of them "Studying Magecraft is something that requires patience and extensive knowledge. Rushing your research will only result in unneeded failures"
In a sense, both of them possess talent surpassing that of their age group. My only job is to guide them on their education and make sure they do not depend on that talent too much.
Rin huffed while looking away from me, causing me to chuckle
What a stubborn child
"Walter, what are we having for dinner?" The sink was turned off as she strode forward and hopped on the nearest chair, pulling out another so her sister can sit there
"Your favorite, miss Rin" I replied, turning off the stove and swiftly brought the pot to the table "Beef stew with potatoes and carrots along with white bread. I hope it's not too bland for your taste"
"With you as the cook? Impossible" She opened the lid, inhaling the aroma that blew out as she let out a wide smile "Sometimes I wonder if you're an alchemist with how you're so good at transmuting ingredients"
I averted my eyes
Hm...yes...you could say I did something with the food. Reinforcement, to be exact
Pumping organic matters full of one's mana will increase their taste as well as nourishment value, but what one doesn't know is that Reinforcing them in a certain way will make them have certain effects on the body
In this case, the food I made for them has the effect of increasing their lifespan, strengthen their body structure, and enhance their Magic Circuit quality permanently once consumed
The first time was not intentional, but after knowing of their effects I've been feeding it to the girls to increase the quality of their Magic Circuits since. I made sure the changes were minimal so they would have time to get used to it
You could say I'm doing some good? I mean, a Magus's ability to improve their Circuits all involves dangerous, life-threatening methods. This is probably the safest way I could strengthen them without hampering their growth
"Is the food to your liking?"
"Is Zelretch a bad Magus?"
"...Sarcasm doesn't suit you, Miss Rin..."
Are we sure this is not the one from the Abridged series? I have a feeling she's going to grow up like that in the future, except several times more terrible
Anyway. I've talked too much
I glanced outside
"Young ladies, if my presence is not required at the present, please call me when you've finished eating" I bowed "For now, I have something I need to take care of"
I briskly walked out of the room and opened the door to the mansion. The young moonlight shone above, illuminating my figure as I walked across the hills of grass, the silence stretched beyond me
Kirei stood there just outside the line of trees, gazing at me with his normally impassive look
"I noticed you standing here through the kitchen's window" I smiled "Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Your time with them is almost at an end" He notified, stating bluntly "In another 5 days, the Tohsaka patriarch will return, then you will be relieved of your duty of watching over them"
I slowly blinked, before humming in thought
Well now. This is unexpected. Following the original plan. I was supposed to leave 8 days later, yet that time seems to have been reduced to nearly a half of it
"I assume something came up?"
"Indeed, the patriarch's business concluded sooner than anticipated"
I raised my eyebrow
"I'll need to bid farewell to the young misses soon then"
"Please do so. Seeing the expressions on their faces when you're gone will be something I look forward to" The priest smiled, not even bothering to hide his feeling on the matter
"Rin and Sakura isn't the type to despair" I shook my head "They're strong girls, they could handle themselves just fine"
A month is just too short a period of time to establish any meaningful relationship, thus me leaving should not have any notable impact on them
At best, when they've grown up, all they will remember about is a distant figure from their past. They might forget me, they might not. Why does it even matter?
"I'll prepare for it then" I eventually nodded "And, in the meantime, priest Kotomine?"
"Yes?"
The man's eyes blanked as my finger touched his forehead, my Mystic Eyes of Enchantment evolving into something more as I Reinforced them past the supposed limit
"As expected, your Origin is Evil" I sighed "Now should I do this? The original Canon may change and the route may be different, but" I sighed again "Oh damn it, just consider this a parting gift from me"
"My name is Kirei Kotomine" I start off slow
"My name is Kirei Kotomine" The priest repeated after me, voice slurring a little
I nodded.
"I love Mapo Tofu"
"I love Mapo Tofu"
"I hate Tokiomi Tohsaka because he's an asshole"
"I hate Tokiomi Tohsaka because he's an asshole"
"I want to be an Ally of Justice"
"I want to be-"
Kirei began shaking, eyes widening as his breath came out in erratic bursts. He doubled over in pain. His pale face is proof that his Origin is reacting violently to an action that contradicts his existence
Using [Alteration], I gently transformed his Origin into "Virtuous". The true nature of a saint, the desire to help people with no regards to oneself, only finding joys in the happiness of others and the prayer to one's lord
Slowly, the blank look in his eyes was gradually filled with a burning determination. A conviction, unbending to time, nor vulnerable to fear
"-An Ally of Justice" Kirei finished with a firm voice, before slumping in my arms
...When he wakes up, it'll be a very different priest that greets me.
All his life, Kirei had always suffered because of his psychopathic tendencies. So, if I remove the dark impulses that plague his being and instead turn it toward the light he had never understand...
Maybe, he will find happiness like a normal person would
"Yorokube Shounen, Kotomine Kirei" I whispered, setting the priest up, before turning away "Kimi no negai wa youyaku kanau"
<><><><><><><><><>
The last five days at the Tohsaka mansion passed by in a blur
In that amount of time, I tried to crank as much knowledge into the two girls as I can, as well as taking them out on different "field trips" so they can better improve their experience.
Call it love or whatever term you can come up with, I don't want to see them entering the magic world underprepared. In my eyes, Rin and Sakura are still nothing more than baby chicks compare to the likes of Merlin or Solomon
The moon hung overhead outside the window, making me wonder just how it always seems so full whenever I look at it
I quietly closed the top of my suitcase, before donning on my clothing as an Executor. A simple vestment with a silver cross on it. Simple aesthetic and practical for combat
My footstep was silent as I quietly walked into their room. The gentle wind breezed past my form, while the moonlight illuminates the room's interior. Lying on the bed were the two Tohsaka girls deep in their slumber, the exhaustion of today's lesson having caught up to them
A sad smile spread across my face as I patted Sakura's head, at the same time pulling up the blanket over Rin who's shivering from the cold
"Well now, I guess this is goodbye" I chuckled "Now as for your parting gifts..."
Two thick tomes appeared in my hand as I set them on the nightstand.
Using Clairvoyance, I was able to glimpse the children's progress into the future and make lessons according to their ability. Then, compressing the necessary knowledge in a concise way, I wrote it out in these enchanted tomes in a language only decipherable to them
These two books only allow opening a limited amount of pages for a set amount of time for a certain target, thus making sure no one will be able to use it aside form my students. They will cover the next 3 years of education in my absence, including lessons specialized specifically for each of them
There's no need for a teacher like me if they can learn by themselves
"And this..." I held out my hand
As a False God with no apparent affiliation, I can utilize my Divine Authority to grant three Blessings and enact three Major Miracles per day, regardless of their domain. It can be of might, of wisdom, of immortality, or of speed depends on the caster's wish
But now with my limitless mana and the authority of Infinity, I can cast an unlimited amount of blessings on them, just not on the same person as their bodies wouldn't be able to handle the power itself...
...not without turning them into demigods of course...
My palm glowed as I pressed it against the two girl's foreheads. Moments later, the glow dimmed and I retreated my hand
Nodding to myself, I reached into my pocket and took out a slip of paper. I then put it on top of the tome so that they can see the thing when they wake up
A vacation homework
With one wistful look at the sleeping children, I put on my hat and walked out the door, into the cold, tranquil air of the night
That will not be the last time they see the butler Walter
<><><><><><><><><>
Rin slowly opened her eyes, feeling the morning sun shone on her face through the gaps in the curtains. She turned to face her sister who's sleeping peacefully beside her, before closing them back
So it's already morning
Letting out a yawn, the girl absentmindedly slipped out from her bed and rubbed her eyes. A few stretches later and she was now fully awake. One thing you learn when you're on a "field trip" with Walter is that you adopt some conventional life habits of his
The ability to slightly alter your body composition, thus instantly getting rid of fatigue is one of them
Rin frowned as she checked the time. It's already this late? They must be quite exhausted last night to forgot setting up the alarm. How the butler didn't think it would be good to wake them up is beyond her
A feeling of confusion welled up inside the girl as the silence stretched on
Why is it so quiet?
Usually, there would be the crackling sound, and the aroma of breakfast being made in the kitchen, courtesy of Walter. On days they woke up too late, he would call them up in the evening and started giving them lessons while they're still on bed
Her mind blanked, instantly focusing on one single fact
That's right. Where is Walter?
Rin's eyes snapped to the paper slip near the nightstand. With a feeling of anxiety, she ran to it and pick up the paper. Her eyes skimmed over the written text, the feeling of dread steadily rising by the second
A good morning to you, it's your humble butler here
Unfortunately, my one month of taking care of you girls had now ended. I had now decided that you have come to the point where my guidance is no longer needed, and thus had excused myself from your presence
Also, Walter is not my real name. I apologize for that
The paper crumbled. She don't know what to feel. The revelation that he is gone leaving a numb feeling inside her
No. NO! There must be more to it!
I have left the two tomes as reference material for your research for the next several years, as well as making some preparations in case you need my help.
Homework:
Below is a list of things that would have made her eyes bugged out in incredulity if she doesn't know what type of person Walter is
Her eyes desperately skimmed over them, arriving at the end where Rin hoped to find any indication of this being a case of forgery. A ruse, or a test by him perhaps?
I will return somewhere at the start of the Holy Grail War as the executive for the Church. We'll meet up again then.
T-this had to be a joke right?
He just up and left like that, with hardly a whisper, without even telling them anything!?
Rin's mind flashed back to when the butler was first introduced by her mother. She vaguely remembered how she said he'll only stay with them for a month. She remembered how she had snapped at him at a pathetic attempt to impose her authority, when he'd been too willing to follow her from the start
The girl's lips pursed, all too aware of the stinging feeling in her eyes
Magecraft be damned. She likes him as a companion. Not only is he good at cooking, cleaning, or doing housework. Far above the duty of a butler, Walter was one of the few who ever treated her like a proper Magus.
Not her father who considered her too young for magic, nor her mother who considers her like fragile glass, not the other guests who only see a potential pawn to be used in their political game. He genuinely cared about her. And as much as she would deny it, Rin had taken to care for him as well
With the sudden disappearance of the man, she was at a loss. Rin Tohsaka, the genius of a century, was left at a loss at what to do
No, she had to calm down. He only said to be gone for until the Holy Grail War rolled in. That means three years later. That's plenty of time to study and further her own craft
Moreover...
"Rin?"
Sakura's sleepy voice sounded behind her. Strands of hair carelessly brushed to the side as she groggily sat up
"What's that in your hand?" She looked around, sniffing the air a few times in search of a certain scent "Where is Walter?"
Rin closed her eyes as she held out a piece of paper in response
Somehow, she knows this isn't going to end well...
<><><><><><><><>
I am now in space. Hovering in the air above Earth's orbit as I enjoyed the universe's silence
The feeling of weightlessness is pleasant. The warmth of the sun's radiation is pleasant. The darkness of the cosmos is pleasant. The quiet atmosphere in space, where sound cannot escape, is pleasant
I sucked in a fresh breath of air, before exhaling slowly. My eyes then narrowed as I straightened out my Executor outfit
Right, I suppose this is the part where I elaborate what exactly I am doing out in space, several hundred thousand kilometers away from Earth
The truth is, I'm going to fight against the Seven Types that are on their way to invading Earth, and simply thought this would be the suitable battlefield for us
It seems Mercury's defeat had alerted them for action. In that case, if humanity die out, it would be my fault as the main aggressor of this incident. To that end, I am only doing this due to my responsibility as an average human
I raised my palm as magic began gathering at the tip of my hand. Admittedly, I'm not very used to combat in space, so I'll just change class for a bit
This time, instead of a Caster or Saber, I'll just be a Rider instead
An average Rider with his average Mount
From nothing, Type-Mercury's emerald crystal came to life around me as the alien substance shifted and morphed to my desire, forming a baseline of metal construct that wrapped around the empty space above me
Thousands of times more durable than any material known to Earth. Each individual molecules are strong enough to crush entire mountains and still remain unfazed from the force. So what will happen if I mass generate them and condensed them into a thick, solid structure?
The liquid substance hardened themselves into the shape of a gigantic, spherical construct that reached hundreds of kilometers outward. More and more spread out, covering the "skeleton" of the thing with multiple layers of protective barriers no one but the strongest of Gods can break through
The interior came second. Hundred of thousands of spaceship's engines thrummed to life as they took shape inside them. Mounts of Orbital Guns placed on it's surface as aerial defense, then lined in the middle is the Main Cannon - The weapon of Type-Mercury itself.
Noble Phantasm: [Death Star]
Rank: EX
Type: Anti-Planet / Anti-Army / Fortress
Description: The ultimate star born from the combination of alien technology, human influence, and magic. This unique construct has three separate functions to use as a Noble Phantasm
It's an average attempt at recreating one of my childhood dreams, as I had always wanted to build my own spaceship and explore different planets on it
It's acceptable as a normal Noble Phantasm. But against opponents of such calibers, I'm afraid even that's not enough
I smiled, raising my other hand
A presence stirred across the cosmos as I reached out to it. It resisted my attempt, but I politely insisted, slowly exerting my control over it. Their resistance weakened, until it was slack enough for me to safely summon from this side
Then, at the other end of the universe, the Umbral Star disappeared, only to appear beside me
Do you want to fuse [Umbral Star] with [Death Star]?
Yes
Tendrils snaked along the metallic planet as the two fused together. Robotic parts intertwined with materials far more advanced than any civilization had discovered, or will hope to discover. Strengthening and bolstering its firepower over a thousand times
Noble Phantasm: [Ultimate Death Star] had been created
Rank: EX+
Description: [....]
I swept my arm to the side. The Executor outfit I'm wearing suddenly feel very out of place in this futuristic setting. Instead, a black robe draped over me to cover it
"Right then...."
A spark of my magic sent the power inside the planet to life
One of the three powers of the Death Star. [Starkiller]. It allows for the destruction of a single medium-sized celestial body in outer space at the cost of....uh...let's just say several zero's worth of magical energy value
My eyes blanked as I tapped upon my [Universal Omniscience], allowing me to pinpoint the Seven Ultimate Ones heading toward Earth at a relatively slow speed from inside the solar system
"First Target: Type-Venus"
The Death Star's cannon rotated. Type-Orbital Cannon in particularly glowed with a green hue. It's metallic body began shaking under the intensity of the power contained inside
"BFG unit, at the ready"
The mechanical artillery raised up simultaneously at my order. Aim steady. Target locked. Charge full, waiting for the order to blitz the heaven itself
"Three..Two...One...Zero" I roared "Fire!"
Millions of shots were unleashed simultaneously. The dark space of the cosmos around me lit up with an emerald green lights, one that signals the destruction of everything in its path
The volley soared through the distance between planets in seconds. And with it, impacted against the Ultimate One in the middle of its path, obliterating its surface in a barrage of undodgeable shots
Seven energy signatures were reduced to six and a half. I grinned as the space around the planet shifted. Seven portals opened, from which emerged the rest of the Types, clearly alarmed by my presence
Who will win?
Seven Heavenly Bodies that can each literally kill the whole of humanity in one shot
or
One Average Rider
"This is where the fun begins"
With a click, the Death Star's cannons began charging up again

Author's Note: If you're wondering why the fuck I made a space battle of all things, I blame my brother for watching Star Wars while I'm writing this chapter
