The new emergence of a new presence had shooked the unconscious desire of the Earth
A weapon made of pure emptiness. Bringing about the definition of 'absolute chaos' to those who see its true form
The Anomaly, he was called. One who easily crushed the Ultimate One of Mercury in a matter of mere hours
Gaia had seen its might, trembling under his wake. Just like the Counter Force, the Anomaly is a being of infinite power spiraling to limits beyond human's comprehension.
With a swing of his sword, the world bend and fractured
With every step he took, all creations bowed in reverence
With his mere presence, the laws of reality becomes obsolete
Even if it was a greatly weakened Mercury that was killed, Gaia is sure even on its home planet the Type wouldn't even be able to defeat him
What was its plan? Just what could this Anomaly named (Y/n) be aiming for? With infinite power comes the intellect to control it, so there can be no doubt about the entity's intelligence
Insufficient data. More. More of them are needed
And so, it gathered its power in a final call through the cosmos. A wave of pulsing power exploding forward, garnering the attention of its other brethren that lied across the solar system
Venus. Mars. Jupiter. Saturn. Uranus. Neptune. Pluto.
Seven Heavenly Bodies. Seven Entities that are the ultimate embodiment of their own World, existing independently from the Common Sense of Man
The promised time had not come. In its place, a threat ever greater loomed ahead
But the Will of the Planet itself isn't the only one to have taken action
As per their function, the unconscious desire of humanity when presented with such a powerful existence is to eliminate it. To them, keeping humanity as a whole safe is its only purpose. Doing so, they utilized the Counter Guardians as their subject and through other agents deposited through Earth
In this case, both Alaya and Gaia's goal aligned with each other
From within, the Counter Force stirred
One using means outside the cosmos against a new threat, the other exploiting humanity's potential to combat it
Can (Y/n) withstand such an unimaginable force hunting for him? That is the question

"..Mercury?"
"Yes, master Walter?"
"This is not what I mean when I said I wanted some flour"
I stared at the bag of illegal drug in my hand, before sighing
When Mercury had returned with this thing in hand, I instantly knew what happened
She got tricked by a drug dealer
It's not that uncommon for an outsider to make this mistake, so I guess it's tolerable given her inexperience with human culture
But...I'll be damned if I don't use this drug effectively
Using [Reinforcement], I strengthened the properties in it, watching as the Cocaine becomes whiter and whiter, to the point they look like they are harvested from the bone of a Primordial Beast. I then took a sniff and smiled in satisfaction
Noble Phantasm: Divine Cocaine (B+)
Type: Anti-unit
- Provides rank-down on all Parameters. Grants [Attack Down], [Defense Down], [Max HP down] and seal Servant's ability to use their Noble Phantasm for a duration of 72 hours
The cocaine powder dropped from my hand into the nylon bag, before I stored it away in my Gate of Babylon along with the other drugs Mercury brought back. Heroin and LSD
It's an interesting thought, I mused, if I can just use this cocaine as ingredients to my bullets, what additional effects will they have?
Ah, it doesn't matter
Now...looking at my past self, if you think this is the end of the problem...
You are dead wrong
The intro sound of the news on the TV drew my attention. On it, a reporter was seen setting aside some paper
"This is John John here from the Big Black Coc- Uh..I mean the British Broadcasting Corporation show" He said, smiling "And I'm here to give you more of that thick, juicy news for you thirsty audience"
"The world and international organizations had been in an uproar over the peculiar disappearance of several underworld powers over the course of the last few hours"
Switch channel source, another journalist appeared with a burning building behind her
"This is Melisa Melisa, reporting from Bolivia. Over 150 drugs distribution firm had been annihilated overnight, with over several thousand dead across the country, whom the police had identified to be high officials in the cartel business"
"Reporting from Colombia, infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar killed in mysterious gang massacre. As of now no other organization had claimed responsibility, who could the mysterious assailant be?"
"Reporting from Mexico, there's been an unknown bombardment on the locations of all known cartel. The drug war had officially ended with minimum civilian casualties. However, at the current, no distribution of drugs had been discovered in the market"
Congratulation!
You have become an international drug lord
Territory established: [America], [Colombia], [Mexico], [Bolivia], [Iran]
Net Worth: 78,000,000,000 USD
Current Bounty: 200,000,000 USD
You are now in the "Most Wanted" list of 14 agencies across the world
"....."
I gazed upon the TV, then at the familiar who's twiddling her finger nervously beside me
"Shall I dispose of the other drug lords as well?"
"What the hell did you do?!"

Mercury did not know why she is being yelled at
Walter looks like he's...angry?
She'd followed her master's order down with perfect efficiency. Wasting minimal time in browsing and purchasing the highest quality flour from different stores after checking data from international reports, she'd completed the task in thirty minutes after running across different continents and asking about the prices from their place
The human retaliated with their weapons, therefore it would only be appropriate that she would respond as per courtesy. It wasn't her fault they were so vulnerable. It wasn't her fault they were dealt with in such a bloody way
It's...not her fault
Type-Mercury as an alien existence is not familiar to the concept of human ethic, but even she knows sufficient task usually are not paid with punishment. Therefore, from her master's perspective, she must have done something incorrectly
A whimper escaped her lips
"I'm sorry"
She didn't know why she is saying such pointless words. The alien construct only knows that she hates the feeling of seeing that look on his face and knowing she's the cause to it
"I'm sorry"
She sniffled, wiping the strange liquid sliding down her cheek
(Y/n)'s face distorted from disapproval to panic in the span of a second
'Crap, I forgot she's still just a child in term of emotional development'
It's quite hard to notice with her power and the mature way in which she speaks, but now that I think about it, hadn't Mercury just been created less than 24 hours ago?
Wouldn't that make me some kind of child bully if I were to scold her?
"Alright alright, I'm sorry. No need to cry like that" I hugged her and soothe the sobbing familiar, patting her mob of green hair "Just...next time think more clearly about my orders before you follow them, alright?"
In my mind, I'm still troubled about being in charge of what basically amounts to an enterprise's worth of cash and authority over drug cartels in several countries, but it's wrong to just take it out on her who clearly have no idea about the "right" and "wrong" of this world
...
...She's kind of like Sakura actually
I sighed, before hoisting the trembling familiar into my arms and carry her back to our room
Seems like Rin is the only reliable one after all
<><><><><><><><>
Life and death are two halves of the same coin
An interconnected cycle, perpetual in nature. To live is to experience with your senses, from there on to things beyond understanding and eventually perceiving the nature of the world.
To die is to become one with it
Sakura's hand hovered over the stilled body of the worm, her eyes narrowing in concentration as she attempted to recall the information Walter had imparted the evening before during the extra lesson he'd promised
"Your origin is of an imaginary nature, manifesting what could not be materialized in the real world, and to an extent what could not be perceived by the real world. A false value that cannot be found in a set equation"
"But what is imaginary?" He raised a finger "That which does not exist, or that which cannot be proven to exist using conventional methods? Just what is the extent to which you can utilize your origin and affinity as a Hollow Magus?"
Her body is hollowed
Her mind is hollowed
"We're going to exploit your power to its fullest, miss Sakura" He concluded "A little bit of prodding inside you should be enough to determine how much of it you can take in. This knowledge should be best...devour slowly"
Maxwell's Demon is a popular example of how something comes to that nature. A being that participated in one of the past Holy Grail Wars. Its origin was not of a hero, not of a villain nor even a living person. It was born from a concept. And yet it was still chosen as a Servant
Mathematically, a paradox will defy the nature of common sense. That's the reason why it can not be reasoned to be an actual value. Yet it exists, despite its impossible nature to do so. In that case, is such a thing imaginary, or is it just another abstraction that cannot be determined?
If "life" and "death" can't be proven using logical means, but their existence has been acknowledged, does that make them fall under her Element? If so, what would happen if she were to impose the concept of "life" into a blank slate?
Given the imprint of the soul still lingered on a creature's body after its death, it is entirely possible to revive a part of the host's consciousness if one can re-activate the body function in a set duration.
Sadly, without the Third Magic, doing so would mean binding their soul to the physical vessel itself, thus resulting in a constant state of agony as their sanity rot away, slowly turning them into mindless familiar that can only obey their Master's order as time pass by
The worm under her palm twitched as its inner structure slowly mended. It's flesh reconnected, stitching themselves back under Sakura's magic, while it slowly curled up to a fetal position
The grotesquely-shaped abomination is just that, an abomination. It's a body with a head and a tail, shaping into the unnerving figure of a male genital. However, the worm's anatomy and magic channels were simple, and so they are quite easy to manipulate
A drop of sweat ran down between her brows
Fill. Fill. Fill. Fill. Fill
The worm twitched, its movement becoming more erratic as she continuously pours more energy into it, until it was threatening to explode with the magical energy gathered inside
Sakura activated her mana, sending the concept running through its vein. The insect straightened abruptly, body shivering as though running through by electric currents before it finally stilled on the table
Despite that, the change could easily be detected
"Zouken, come here"
Even though it was clearly dead, the way it started moving toward her upon reawaking is not that of a dead creature
Sakura held out her hand, watching in fascination as it crawled on her palm and stay there in an obedient way, awaiting further orders
She smiled, setting it down on one of the glass boxes on her table
On the other side of the box, is another Matou Crest Worm
The moment Zouken was placed inside, it began crawling to the opposite side as fast as it can, fear emanating from its movement. The worm is panicking, shivers traveling down its form as it's instinct could feel something was wrong with the whole situation
Sakura pointed at the still-alive insect
"Now, Zouken. Your meal"
The undead worm closed in, sharp teeth bared for the kill
Blood spattered on the glass panels, all the while the smile on her face never ceases to fade
Sakura Tohsaka had leveled up

"Gandr!"
The sphere of magical energy slammed through the concrete block, completely disintegrating it into a pile of rubble
Rin clicked her tongue in annoyance, before taking aim again.
"Gandr!"
Another boulder exploded from the impact. However, the girl does not stop as she continued firing the spell in a rapid pattern, annihilating blocks after blocks of solid stone as though they were nothing more than cardboard
Any experienced Magus would have gawked at the level of skill the girl's displaying with the Finnish spell, but she herself is only feeling more frustrated by the second
'Average Magus my butt!'
"You call that a Gandr?"
Walter looked at the result of her strongest offensive spell as though they were talking about different things
The two of them stood in front of a shooting range. Rather than wanting to test her theoretical knowledge or checking her progress through formalcraft, he'd intend to check if she would be capable in combat-oriented skills
And the result...left much to be desired
To begin with, Rin's spell sound more like a pistol than an atomic explosion like he'd expected
"Well, can you make a better one than me?!" She remembered snapping at him, to which the butler only shrugged in response
He aimed his finger at a nearby tree, mimicking the image of a trigger being pulled
"Gandr"
The next moment, Rin choked
Power. Pure magical power exploded from his fingertip in the form of what could only be described as a natural disaster. A distant boom echoed in the vast forest, the feeling akin to a nuclear warhead being detonated near them as lines of trees fell in the span of a moment
Her mouth dried as a fiery wave of heat washed over the surrounding, incinerating everything it touches. The fire of death consume all in a sea of the blazing inferno, leaving nothing behind in its wake
In its path, only charred ashes remained. Billows of scorching wind passed by her, ruffling the girl's hair as her knees began shaking in fear in the aftershock
Suddenly, she felt as if her power is being inadequate before this man
If he'd claimed himself to be only a third-rate Magus, where does that leave her?
"Now, listen Miss Rin" He turned to her, the explosion still echoing out in the distance"You may reach this level of power one day when your skill is adequate enough. However, there's a trick to increasing a spell's offensive properties if you're a beginner"
"Have you heard about the theory of Elemental Enhancement?"
Elemental Enhancement.
The idea that imbuing one element with your Magic Circuits will bring out different anatomical alterations to your spells
Being an Average One, a Magus who has control over all Five Elements, she can imbue her spell with any of them, thus making her magecraft became more potent on fire.
As of the moment, Rin's strongest enhanced Gandr cane be compared to a shotgun blast at close range, but it would take several seconds to recover, and that will leave her vulnerable in combat. Worst case scenario, she would have to rely on her crystals for an emergency reload
....Wait a minute
Why is she thinking of utilizing such a thing in combat? She's a Magus, not a spellcaster!
Rin eyed the rifle in the corner of the training field, memories of struggling through the South American forest surfacing on her mind
"Well it's not like a pure Magus would use modern firearm either" She grudgingly said, picking it up and inspecting it, wiping away the smudge on the scope as she did so. She then lined the gun over her shoulder
Her finger instinctively moved to the trigger as the girl's breath slowed down, aiming down the scope toward her target
Rin paused, a crimson shade of red spread across her face as she quickly threw the gun to the side in embarrassment
"Damn that Walter for teaching me about this!" She yelled
Is he trying to make her into a Magus Killer or something?!
....
*sigh* Damn it
After another moment of quiet fuming, she slowly picked it up again. This time the red gone from her face as she checked the chamber, nodding when she sees no ammunition packed inside
As crude a device as it is, it has its own use in certain situations. Chief of which being a self-defense tool when one ran dry of their magical energy. It also packs damage that could rival six-aria spells and can be fired at a steady pace, which is frightening on its own
If used right, guns can be considered lethal in most cases. The fact that none would expect a little girl to pull out a Remington in the middle of a magical duel is definitely a plus in her book
But...what if one were to combine Magecraft in parallel with modern weapons?
Strengthening the gun by Reinforcing it. More durability. More precision. Less recoil
Using Enhancement on the bullet's properties. More penetration. More kinetic force. More destruction
Or better yet, how about replacing the mundane rounds with a more lethal, potent one?
A frown made its way across Rin's face as she absentmindedly pulled the bolt back, an idea slowly taking place in her mind
Her father would never approve of this
But then again, he'd never advanced her education several levels forward either
Instead of loading a real bullet into the gun, she concentrated prana into the chamber, setting the trigger as the releasing of the stored energy, before taking aim at the farthest target on the training field, which is almost a hundred meters away
"Calm your breath" Remembering the lesson Walter used to give to her on shooting firearms, she raised the muzzle slightly upward and got into a comfortable stance "Widened your leg, lean forward"
Particles of black and red energy gathered inside the barrel, condensing into a small pellet which swirled faster and faster by the second as she used Reinforcement on it
She began amping up the spell with the element of Fire, it being held inside at the tip of a gun made it easier to do so. The mass of energy accelerated in its rotation, like a cannonball ready to shoot out at a moment's notice
The "bullet" become denser and denser, until it becomes almost as dense as (Y/n)
Then she pulled the trigger, bracing as the prana inside roared out
"Gandr"
The streak of red light that flashed across the empty space, the howling gale that followed afterward as it pierced through the concrete block and annihilated the forest behind it with an explosion...
Watching it, only one thought passed across her mind
Walter did not lie.
Guns are fucking amazing
Rin Tohsaka had leveled up

[Jewel Magecraft] (Lvl.20)
[Reinforcement] (Lvl.16)

I sighed, looking at the familiar standing behind me
Her face was back to its emotionless state after that freakout session, to which I am secretly glad. I just don't have that much experience with girls in general, much less even deal with them while they're in a bad mood
Nonetheless, she had asked me for a second chance to redeem herself, and this time I'm lucky enough to have one in store for her
"You already know what to do" I shuffled the paper in my hand "This should be easy enough with your ability, no?"
She nodded. Mercury's appearance began shifting, her skin changing color into a pallid yellow while her figure slowly hunched over, wrinkles appearing on her face, becoming older and more ashen by the second
The face of one Zouken Matou stared back at me moments later
"Infiltrating the Matou household" The familiar repeated "Act as their patriarch until the War. With him being the only one with sufficient magical power, Zouken would no doubt earn the authority as a Master due to being a member of the three Founding Families"
"You will participate in his stead" I nodded "Your objective is not to win the War, though you can most certainly do so if you desire"
"Are you not going to fight yourself?"
My eyebrows rose
As much fun as the prospect of being able to see Kiritsugu being broken to the point of despair, Kirei learning of his psychopathic nature, Gil being his arrogant genocidal self, and Tokiomi's face when he get stabbed from behind is, I would say that it's not worth it
Let's note that I was being sarcastic. I am not a sadist
"Why should I, when I can have a normal life?" I drawled "What use is bloodshed and tragedy for a simple cup?"
True Magics, in general, are overrated
Zouken nodded in understanding. The gesture comes out in a creepier way than intended. A swarm of insects surrounded him with their buzzing noises. When they dispersed, he was already gone to where he needed to be
Now left alone to myself, I only sighed. I glanced down at the papers under me, depicting complex notes that I had spent the last few hours trying to figure out
Technically speaking, I am...not what you would call as a human
Not only am I immune to the concept of damage, at my base form I am practically unkillable since I can exist independently out of space and time, thus automatically nullifying any attack against me. If I were to discard of the seals, reality would literally become a void due to the vacuum of power left behind
As such, there are no ways for me to safely get rid of this power
Or is there?
To the best of my knowledge, nothing in this world can control a True Magic of their domain since they are the ultimate apex of Mysteries. As something of the Root itself, only an Eldritch creature of the highest calibers would be able to even affect them, much less be able to seal them away
I tapped my pen against the paper in thought
Except..for another True Magic
They are both sources of infinite power. The First Magic grants you the possibility, but the Third Magic grants you the ability. Using an infinite amount of Mana to seal off a less infinite amount of Mana is, in theory, not entirely impossible
Then I would become a normal human again
I've already calculated it all. It is unlikely for me to fail this. Not again
I opened my palm, from which an object soon materialized within
It was a chalice, shining with holy radiance. Untainted with the filth of this world, as though it was crafted from materials not of this realm
Name: Greater Holy Grail
Rank: Unidentified
Type: Anti-World
"Really, a fight to the death to obtain something so mundane..." I said, activating the Grail as I crushed the thing. The shattered fragments flew through the air as they become magic particles, ready to receive the wish of the target
I could never do this
But I have to
"Bring me" I whispered "...Third Magic, Heaven's Feel"
The particle converged into a single point, from which a beam of light shot out at me
The world flashed before my eyes
<><><><><><><><><>
It is so close
I blinked
The Root. All-encompassing, all-powerful. The essence to every creation, every soul, every separate timeline born from every possibility, from which an infinite amount of events are birthed and dispersed over by the blink of an eye
It is not before, nor is it behind me. Not up, not down, for within this space such concepts as directions do not exist. It just...is. It is present, yet not. It is close to me, yet so far away. As all exist within the Root, the Root exist as all
I reached out my hand. Not forward, not backward, I just reach out in an unidentified direction. And then there was light that slowly filled my vision as my senses touched upon something
Checking compatibility with Magic...
A silent voice rang out in my head, making me blink
Since when does the System have a voice?
Compatibility: Exceed Limit
Third Magic: Heaven's Feel had been obtained
[Limitless Mana] had been maxed out
[True Immortality] had been maxed out
[Materialization of the Soul] had been maxed out
Access to [Throne of Heroes] had been granted
Access to [Swirl of the Root] had been granted
Access to [Imaginary Worlds] had been granted
+150% Bond to Spirits of all Classes
One would think acquiring such omnipotent power would warrant a more...dramatic introduction. I almost expect there to be a light show and some equally mind-breaking revelation upon one's mind as they were filled with wonders beyond their comprehension of the world's Mysteries
Then I get this. A holographic window that tells me what I had learned
Guess I expect too much
I smiled, before withdrawing from the empty space and return back to reality
Back to the present, I opened my eyes. Only this time, I seem to have more control over my power
Yes. This is it
My smile widened in anticipation as I willed my power to overlap each other. Infinity to infinity, creating a paradox that will hopefully seal them off for good
Do you want to seal off your power?
Yes
Calculating percentage of success
Attempting false initializing
Simulation flawed. Compound non-compatible
You can not deactivate your authority
I frowned
What?
Second Magic is needed for the elimination of all failed variables (0/1)
Fourth Magic is needed for the materialization of Nothingness (0/1)
Fifth Magic is needed for analysis of power causality (0/1)
Sixth Magic is needed to optimize the uses of other Magic (0/1)
Eldritch Magic is needed as counter measures against the paradox of existence (0/1)
To become an average human, you need to acquire all known True Magic to complete the process of weakening yourself
"......"
I slowly took out the bag of cocaine from the Gate of Babylon and took a deep sniff, hoping I would die from the overdose and be over with it
[Status Effect Immunity] had been activated
- You can not be affected by spells and attacks that seek to sabotage your body structure in any way, shape or form
Of course, things were never that easy
