Hello
My name is (Y/n) (L/n), a third-rated Magus who withdrew from the Clock Tower in favor of a peaceful life
I reside in Misaki town. I live an incredibly mundane life as a high school student
I hunt Dead Apostles and heretics by night as a part-time job, and occasionally cook Mapo Tofu at home for my fellow Executors
I have a habit of crafting different weapons, or just tinkering with the wonderful concept of True Magic in general, as I can do many things with it
I usually experiment on how to strengthen myself while looking like I'm not breaking the laws of physic to others
I am what you would call an unremarkable, average Magus. With no ambition of my own, I have no desire to acquire the Holy Grail War nor participate in the conflict for it
So...pray tell...
What the fuck are these Command Seals doing on my hand?
"Those are the spare Command Seals we managed to extract from the last war" Risei Kotomine explained upon seeing the look on my face
Yeah, I know that because there's no way you can replicate a fucking seal that could approach True Magic in strength, else you're probably Zelretch in disguise and you're trolling me
My question is why the hell would you people thought giving it to me would be a good idea?
"Let me guess, it's going to help me participate in the war as a secret participant on the Church's side" I crossed my arm, secretly pinching them to see if the Command Seals are just makeshift stickers
They're not
"Indeed" Risei agreed "Our Church is now allianced with sir Tokiomi in order to prevent the other Master from obtaining the Grail, as the consequence of their wish may very well affect our world in a very...disastrous way, might I say"
If you'd just told me that instead of forcing the Burial Agency to give me an order, I would still have refused
"I see, and how am I supposed to summon my Servant?"
"You're not. You're acting as a spare in case of the Tohsaka patriarch's death, as then you will make a contract with his Servant and continue further in the War"
A smile bloomed on my face at the pleasant information
Fucking Beautiful. That means I don't have to join in on the war any time soon
"Well, I am glad to be of help" I bowed "For the Church, father Kotomine"
"For the Church, priest Walter" The old man bowed in return "And may God bless you for your undying faith"
A shiver ran down my back at that comment. I'd forgot just how fanatical some of the members in the Church could get when it comes to their Lord, especially with the existence of Mystery around
In terms of faith for one's deity, I am nowhere near the level of one Ruler-class saintess, Jeanne d'Arc herself
[True Faith] had been maxed out
- The ability to make others trust in your presence. When combined with Divinity, this skill will evolve into [True Exaltation], granting those around you a boost in power
+120% Bond with Ruler-class Servants
It was then I see Risei was staring at me weirdly, his eyes widening by the second, proportionately with the rising feeling of dread in my stomach
Oh fuck this shit
"T-this presence!" The man collapsed to his knee, the wrinkles on his face trembling as tears running down his cheeks "Truly, He who rules over Heaven had not abandoned us"
By then I had already bolted out of the room, leaving the man mumbling to himself behind
I have decided that I hate the Church
<><><><><><><><><>
But, ah, well, that was the story of several days ago
Right now I'm busy teaching the two little Tohsaka girls. After the previous outings on Saturday, let's just say they'd find very practical application of their magecaft into real combat, which pleases me greatly
Am I horrified they had learned to kill people? Well yeah, but at the same time they also learn what real combat looks like, so I can't complain much.
Being a Magus is to walk with Death after all
"Today, we're going to learn with a worm"
"Worms?" Rin frowned
"Worms?" Sakura tilted her head
I pulled out a Matou Crest Worm from the box. It wiggled furiously between my thumb and index finger, as though trying to escape from its confinement
"Let's say hello to this friendly worm, to whom I had named Zouken" I shrugged "Admittedly, it was not a very friendly name, but Zouken had volunteered as a demonstration for our lesson, to which we have to thank him"
Silence. I look at Rin and Sakura who had disturbed looks on their faces as they stared at the worm, which admittedly had the appearance of a fleshy, medium-sized, flaccid penis coated in a layer of smelly slime
I can imagine it's not the most appealing of images for them, especially with the unnatural way the penis-worm bend and twist itself in my hand
"Well?" I looked at the two girls
"Thank you Zouken"
"Well thanks, Zouken"
The worm began struggling even more ferociously under my palm, its fang skittering as it attempted to bite off my finger
I Traced several needles and stabbed through it, pinning the thing to the table
"This is a very special type of worms that can regenerate indefinitely, as their souls have been directly bonded to the physical vessel that is their body" I explained "It's very painful, you see. Their inner-self will begin rotting as time goes by, staining their mind with insanity, all the while they will be unable to die as long as they can find a vessel to inhabit after death"
"Poor worm" Sakura muttered
"Immortality is something that comes at a cost" Rin nodded "Are you going to give us the assignment to kill it?"
"Correct, there are 27 different ways to kill this worm using basic techniques if you know where to look" I pointed at the struggling creature "After each time you successfully kill him you earn a point, after which I'll revive him and we can start with a new method"
They nodded. Finding ways to give this worm release in death is both merciful and educational at the same time. Rin's opinion of him went up just a little higher
"Whoever gets the most point win" I smiled "The winner gets to have an extra lesson with me afterward"
'Extra lessons with Walter means I get to further the efficiency of my craft'
'Extra lessons with Walter means I get to spend time with him'
Something flashed inside the two girl's eyes as they turned to the worm, smiles on their faces
The worm, for its part, began shivering slightly
80 minutes and 32 attempts later, it finally got the release it wanted

But mah, that's the story of several hours ago
I am now in my private study room. Tools and ornaments on the floor as they were scattered all around in a messy way. Magical equipment specialized for the inspection of Mystic Codes sparked in my hand as I threw them to the side
Type-Mercury's Core
Mana: 8,700,000,000 Unit
Item Rank: Average
Traits: [Crystalized Data]
Description: An orb that contains sealed data of Type-Mercury from its planet
"I have decided" I hummed, eyeing the sphere in my hand with a critical look. The clock ticking by as I fell into deep thought
I am going to use the Ultimate One's core to create my own familiar
....
Alright, at this point you might be saying "What is a familiar?"
They are constructs created by a Magi to help assist them in mundane things. As they have a magical and mental connection with their master, familiars are able to gain sentience and possess abilities dependently on the material you constructed them with
Familiars can often be made using the corpses of animals or magical construct as the core for their creation, to which the Magus will then pour in the 'soul', or 'consciousness' of a departed one
In this case, I'm intending to use this item as a basis to create a companion that can help me do trivial housework and cook food for me, like a pseudo acquaintance, or perhaps a friend if one is to assume they will be friendly toward me
Nothing could go wrong if I'm careful enough
I use [Structural Analysis] combined with [Alteration], filtering through the outer layer to get access to the inner core where I can make minor adjustments to it
'Hm, selecting its trait...' I narrowed my eyes at the choices presented "Well, I won't say its the worst..."
[False Mimicry] (A)
- The familiar can flawlessly imitate any individual perceives by it except for some special case. Can copy A-ranked Noble Phantasm at 60% of their power due to the skill being false
[Superior Lifeform] (B)
- The familiar possess superhuman-level intelligence, capable of comprehending unnoticed, complex plans with just a glance. Additionally, it can not be killed by anything made by a human
[Magic Resistance] (EX)
- Automatically grants nullification toward Mysteries that aren't True Magic to the familiar
I scratched my head
While I hadn't truly created a familiar before, surely this is sufficient for an average one?
No, average won't cut it
For a proper familiar, this thing is still too weak
Grumbling to myself, I used [Reinforcement] on the orb, adding structural properties to it in order to strengthen the available skills
[False Mimicry] (A+++)
- The familiar can flawlessly imitate any individual stored inside its database and switch between them as it wishes. Can only copy EX-ranked Noble Phantasm at 80% of their power due to the skill being false
[Superior Lifeform] (A++)
- The familiar possess intelligence outside of human's boundaries, capable of doing supertasks and solving five-dimensional problems. It can not be hurt by things created by the machination of man
[Magic Resistance] (EX)
- Automatically grants nullification toward Mysteries that aren't True Magic to the familiar
I could just upgrade on the last one, but had decided against it. Only an idiot would give his familiar the ability to resist one of the few authority he had over them
"Now with the coding finished, let's move on to the main body"
Mere flesh will not suffice. I need something moldable and versatile. It should be durable to withstand an average amount of force, yet its mobility should still be reliable for combat. Something...familiar
Now where would I find such a miraculous material I wonder
I held out my hand as crystals began forming at the palm of it. Like a pathogen, the thing spread out and covered the pulsing core until it was entirely covered in the emerald-colored mineral. The alien substance then began sifting through several appearances as it processes the data from the original Type-Mercury
Slowly, the consciousness inside broke out of its stasis as the amalgamation of emerald began shaping into a solid humanoid figure
While it looks like it's still reforming its inner database, the newborn familiar was actually surfing through Earth's surface with its expanded sense, thus enabling it to learn of thousands of years of history in the span of a second
With the information it gathered, the familiar can choose the most compatible form with it under Earth's influence. It is not only a healthy physical vessel that will suffice, but one that is on the same spiritual wavelength as them, allowing for optimal efficiency in their new form
Thus, it simply takes on the appearance of someone whose essence it can most "sympathize" with, and that is...
A weapon created by a God
Emotionless. Void from the machination of human
A tool. Nothing more and nothing less
"Type-Mercury 2.0" blinked at me as the shape it took finished molding. It mechanically rose up from the ground, while I was temporarily stunned at the form it took
Long green hair. Golden eyes. A beauty that transcended gender, charming to women, yet even more irresistible to men. A face so perfect one would think they were sculpted from clay stared back at me without emotion
Slowly, I put my hand over my face
Out of all the people on Earth it can shape into...Type-Mercury just have to choose Enkidu
It tilted its head, expressing curiosity at my reaction. I already know the thing's recording my "facial expression" so that it can imitate me in the future, so there's really no need to think about it
"Are you my master?"
Unexpectedly, the first word my familiar uttered was not the confrontational kind, but rather a question for confirmation
"I am not" I winced "I am merely your creator"
"Thus making you my master, is it not?"
"There's a difference between authority by rights and authority of creation" I explained "One was earned, the other was granted. I have done nothing for you yet, thus I should not be qualified as your superior as of the present"
"But you killed me, in doing so making me yours by right of conquest"
I pinched my nose and groaned
"It is fundamentally similar, yes" I replied tiredly "However, you forget the right of conquest only apply to one when he desires it. In that case, I do not desire you as a mere subordinate, but an acquaintance"
"You'd treat me as an equal when my previous self had attempted to eliminate you?"
"Forgive but not forget, I see" He shrugged "I do not care about our first meeting, as it was truly a bad impression of me. I would prefer it if we'd had another chance at our budding relationship, thus it's the reason why I had reconstructed your body"
The Enkidu doppelganger looked down at it's body, hands pinching its perky breasts and sliding down its toned abdomen, before arriving at the slit of its fleshy pink, shaved vagi-
My mind short-circuited
"Nevermind that" Using Reinforcement, I blurred to the other side of the room and picked up a blanket, before returning and draping it over my familiar's shoulder to cover their- her buck naked appearance
Well now that I think about it, Enkidu did borrow their form from a prostitute, so it's only obvious that'd make them, and to an extension their imitator, female
"If we were to be treated as...equals, I would like to know more about you"
"There's not really that much to know. I'm the one who created you as my familiar. You'll be doing some odd or trivial job for me from time to time, though I, in turn, will help you as well"
Odd job..unspecified tasks or missions granted to one that is domestic in nature...given her master's capability in their last fight, he could easily do any of those with hardly a twitch of his finger
Perhaps by "Trivial job", he meant something...more?
The subjugation of humanity perhaps?
"I see, but the subject had strayed too far" She looked up "If I am not permitted to refer to you as master, how shall I address you?"
"By my name, (Y/n) (L/n), but please call me Walter right now" I shrugged, inspecting the rest of her body for any mistake in the initial progress "Do you have any name?"
"Name. A strange concept..." She blinked, strands of green hair tucked carelessly to the side "I do not. I am merely referred to as the Ultimate One of my planet, but following earthling's definition it would be closer to a title, identity given by one's authority and merits"
"People would be suspicious if I keep calling you by your label" I sighed "For the time being, I'll call you Mercury. Are you fine with that?"
Mercury shrugged. "She" had no need for a "name" and frankly don't care about whether or not she gets one, but the notion of her master going out of his way to do so is...
....is...
....The familiar doesn't know how to perceive such action, so she merely nodded in response
<><><><><><><><>
I mentally sighed in relief as I walked out of the room, entering the mansion's wide corridor that is void of any presence
Rin and Sakura, like most of the servants in the house, are having their noon break right now. Kirei meanwhile had gone off to god know where, leaving me and the familiar the only one who's awake in here right now
My mind wandered toward the creation of the core's body, then began recalling the data I gathered from it
That...was new
For a moment there, I thought she's going to start becoming a second Type and turn the surrounding into Crystal Valley, but she's not. In fact, Mercury seems oddly friendly for a being that was supposedly killed by me
Not that I'm going to put down my guard, of course. She may just be tricking me while secretly assessing her situation. That's what I would have done as well
The sound of footsteps echoed behind me drew my attention. An absentminded greeting was on my lips before I realized who it was
I whipped my head around
"Why are you following me?!"
The green-haired beauty blinked back at me, the blanket I just gave her still wrapping around the Type's body like a layer of protective armor
No, it's literally a layer of protective armor. In the short time it took for us to interact with each other, she already learned to flawlessly Reinforce an object just by imitating my movement from before
"Why? Is it not the duty of the familiar to follow and obey every order at its master's whim?"
The retort died down on my throat as I mulled over her words.
Wait now...was all familiar supposed to be this obedient? I don't know since I've never made one before, and I've never seen an actual one either
Maybe in time, she will gain a bit more independence and character traits. Despite possessing superhuman intelligence, she's still a newborn, thus Mercury would obviously be underdeveloped in term of common sense
But saying so, wouldn't that mean she is just like a child right now?
I patted Mercury on the head
"It's alright, I'm in no need for you at the moment" I hummed
She looked at me silently, not a hint of emotion on her face
I shifted uncomfortably
"But if you're so eager to work, can you go to the market and buy me some flour?" I fished out some money and handed it to her "I need it for one of my dishes tonight"
Technically wasting one's money on something they could just create out of thin air is wasteful. But for the life of me, I can't think of anything else for her to do. Plus it was a good exercise since she'll help me with more work in the future
Mercury nodded, her evolved mind shifting through several thousand establishments that sell high-quality flour world wide, analyzing and comparing logistics of each brand while cross-referencing customer's review online to arrive at the optimal purchase
However, she soon stopped as several million more results came up
Apparently, the word 'flour' is also used as a slang to describe something else among the criminal underworld. Its consumption is significantly lower, yet the income from selling this flour is several times higher than your normal, domestically used one
"Master Walter, what kind of "flour" would you like me to purchase?"
(Y/n) shrugged
"Get me the finest one if possible"
Understanding flashed in her eyes as the familiar bowed
"...As you wish"
I nodded, watching as she disappeared from my view, then turned to the empty corridor in front of me
A smile slowly spread across my face, before promptly disappearing as the Bounded Field inside my room were triggered
"Oh shit"
<><><><><><><><>
"Walter?"
Sakura tilted the door to the butler's room, only to frown at the silence that greeted her
"I'm here for the extra lesson" She stepped inside, inspecting the variety of tools that sparked upon her entry "Rin and I have been waiting for you"
Her eyes roamed around the interior. Aside from several Mystic Tools used for engineering Mysteries laying around, their caretaker's room was void of any redundant aspects, almost being completely blank save for the bare necessities themselves
A small suitcase containing his clothing tucked under his bed
A small stack of books on the floor, depicting several classic works of literature
A small desk, upon which seven cards were spread out
Her child-like interest was instantly piqued at the strange objects. Sakura walked to the wooden table, pushed aside the chair, and picked one of the cards up
[Class Card: Berserker]
"Class Cards?" She flipped them over. At first glance, there's nothing special about them, but a mana-sensitive Magus might be able to make out the magical energy sealed inside it. It was, no doubt, a high-class artifact with a complex function
Unperturbed, she cast Structural Analysis on it
Slowly, Sakura's eyebrows rose up
- A card sealed with the essence of Lancelot Du Lac as a Berserker Servant
She don't know what to make of this
The fact that it contains the essence of a historically famous figure, or that her structural grasping spells reveal so little about it. In both cases, it points out that the card before her must be extremely powerful to evade her detection like that
'What will happen if I channel mana into this card....'
It was crude, but pouring one's mana into an object is also the best way to determine its purpose if all else failed
Her hand hovered over the sheet as Sakura's Magic Circuit began thrumming, lines of Od began moving from her hand toward-
A hand clapped on her shoulder, making the Tohsaka girl jumped on her position
"Oh my, looks like someone's curious" Her teacher's amused expression greeted her as she turned back, prompting Sakura to yelp "Good afternoon Miss Sakura, do you like my newest project?"
"W-Walter, this is not what it looks like!" She denied, though quickly deflating when the butler sent her the driest look one with his authority can give
"What are these cards anyway?" She shifted her eyes, hoping he would at least give her the chance to change the subject to avoid further embarrassment
Silence. Walter's thinking. That's a good sign
"....They're Mystic Codes created by me" He mused "Tell me, Miss Sakura. What do you know about the summoning of Heroic Spirit?"
"They are selected from the Throne of Heroes, souls that resides outside the axis of space and time, waiting for their chance to participate in the Grail War" She recalled the brief explanation Rin had given her "When their souls are transitioned to modern days, they are taken in the form of five-dimensional data that will then be projected into their physical form...."
She trailed off
Oh
Her lips slowly thinned as the revelation clicked into place as to why the essence of a Spirit is sealed inside that card.
It only then did Sakura truly comprehended the importance of the artifact in front of her
"But what if one can, hypothetically, replicate the data and project it into a tangible object within the confound of reality?"
Walter leaned forward
"What if, say, one can use it as a medium to integrate the Heroic's power into themselves, thus significantly increasing their power in combat?"

Name: (Y/n) (L/n)
Class: Caster
Restraint Level: 7
Strength: E (EX++)
Agility: E (EX++)
Endurance: E (EX++)
Mana: E (EX++)
Luck: D (???)
Noble Phantasm: E (EX++)
Explanation:
1. Strength, Agility and Endurance
- As already established in the previous chapter, due to the mazed out [True Phantasm Mastery], (Y/n) gain an increase of 10% to every physical Parameters for every Noble Phantasm he possesses. Since he has a near-infinite number of them and could create more with his reserve, well...One could say he is infinitely stronger than EX+ rank, thus making it into EX++ instead
2. Mana
- Due to absorbing the Moon Cell, Type-Moon, Type-Mercury, and possessing 100 Magic Cores while also being able to create more mana due to his First Magic. Combined that with [Unlimited Growth] that constantly evolving his body and the connection to Root - a place of limitless eternity, one could say (Y/n) is capable of housing an infinite amount of magical energy, thus marking him as EX++ rank instead
3. Luck
- On the other, due to possessing [Golden Rule: All], [True Seduction], and by achieving True Magic with a one in an infinite chance of surviving, one could say (Y/n)'s luck by itself is...infinite? The nature of the Parameters are still obscured with no definite standards, so not much can be deduced from it
4. Noble Phantasm
- (Y/n) can create an infinite amount of EX-ranked Noble Phantasm that is capable of achieving an infinite amount of firepower by turning them all into Broken Phantasms. It could not be helped that [True Phantasm Mastery] allows him to strengthen them by 42 times. This, multiplied with the 20 times provided by Reinforcement, allows him to turn a mere stick into a weapon of mass destruction by strengthening its property by 840 times past its limit. The rank of EX++ is thus granted to him
5. Class: Caster
- Why is (Y/n) a Caster? Because he likes to be a Caster, so nothing can be done about it. The System can not do anything about it. The Servants can not do anything about it. Alaya can not do anything about it. No one can do anything about it
6. Restraint Level
- Due to the massive influx of power, (Y/n) now had to employ two additional seals to contain his power. One for EX+ rank and one for EX++ rank. Releasing them also means reality around him will shatter due to too much power and authority are being condensed into a finite space that is his body. Doing so would mean he will become a fifth-dimensional entity that exists beyond time and space instead
- In a sense, (Y/n)'s presence itself can be counted as a Noble Phantasm. Can you guess which rank it will be?
7. Rank
- Note that the level of "Infinity" (Y/n) is Aleph Zero, a set sequence of different levels of infinite sets. It is considered the lowest level of infinity, thus one could say right now he's at his weakest, which also means...EX++ is not (Y/n)'s peak limit if his potential can be exploited to its fullest
- I mean, there could exist a rank beyond EX+++ as the highest order of infinity...or even transcends the concept of "infinity" itself...who knows?
