Steps documented. Just in case we forget.
Encountered a strange man in the library at Candlewood. Accepting an invitation has led to more issues than solutions. But it's a quaint thing. The heroics.
Heroics with more complication to come.
Making her way to the Landing, Vivendel encounters new figures and begins to find the edges of a much larger picture.
Veldric, Isca, Elthea, and of course, Gaelwyn.
Evenings at Evenfall- She goes to use the library, mostly, taking notes and slowly working her way through the entire collection. Here, she is introduced to Kam Hakiaz, someone who garners instant respect.
A brief meeting with Lana and an evening of lecture and poetry.
Back in the Landing, Vivendel witnesses the altercation between Tulip and Fita. The incident has a toll for all involved. Mostly Fita, really.
Traveling back and forth, she encounters yet more faces. There is a growing suspicion that the Landing is no good at all- and a growing concern that she is being shaped for a role she detests. A reckoning.
A clash with the construct ends in screaming and guilt- but not enough guilt to stop. There is a sense of breaking bonds and a lesson on mercy killings. Useless indeed.
In the wake, a meeting of the minds. A friend exits stage right. We cannot uphold all our promises, especially those we never made.
She notes, with small horror, the pattern repeating elsewhere.
