Where We Have Been
As a married couple of 8 years, we have seen the way God has shaped our hearts to be people who water the fields of God's Kingdom. As Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:6, "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth." Our passion is to see people treasure Christ as the lover of their souls by coming alongside them and inviting them to be immersed together in God's living Word. As we have served and been loved for over a decade at Community Church of East Gloucester, through the encouragement of the body of believers, I (Nathan) have been drawn towards pursuing further equipping for a life of pastoral ministry. Though, like Abraham and Sarah, we do not see every step clearly before us, we walk forward in unity, confident of the Lord's presence with us through His Spirit and the stabilizing strength of His body around us. If we haven't already, we'd love to share more of how we've seen the Lord lead us onto this path. Please reach out!
Where We Are Going
Bethlehem Seminary is a small seminary in Minneapolis Minnesota which grew out of Bethlehem Baptist Church. It aims "to support the local church by equipping students so that they graduate as mature leaders who are ready to shepherd God’s people with biblical clarity and Christ-exalting affection for the rest of their lives." To encourage intimate discipleship relationships, it is intentionally small with 15-20 students per cohort who go through each class together for 4 years. There is a strong emphasis on learning in the context of the local church through a Pastoral Apprenticeship. For the next 4 years, we will be in the Minneapolis area, continuing to serve the local church, while being equipped to do so in what we hope to be a life-long vocational context.
