READ ABOUT LOWEN'S LIFE AS A WILD JEFFER! Click
The Wild Jeffrey way started how most things start: with an idea. The first Wild Jeffrey was an ordinary man with the mind of something much greater. Shortly after he became a granfather to the current Wild Jeffrey, he came to the realization that he wanted to leave his family and the world with a legacy that meant something. From this was born the Wild Jeffrey Way.
He based it off three main principals (see below) and from them created a way of life filled with Practices and other ways for people to make certain they were following the Way perfectly. Though his ideas were great, his wallet was not. Wild Jeffrey I found himself unable to advertise his ideas and get a following behind him. It was all saved when he chanced on John-Gary III.
John-Gary and Wild Jeffrey were both at Independent when John-Gary tripped and spilled 15 cans of tomato sauce on Wild Jeffrey. To this day we don't know what John-Gary was even doing with 15 cans of tomato sauce. Wild Jeffrey was understanding of the mistake but nevertheless allowed John-Gary to take him to lunch as an apology. When John-Gary heard his ideas he decided immediately to invest because he just so happned to be a millionaire.
From there advertisements for the Way were everywhere and it gained a very large following and presence in the media. The rest is history.
These are the most important values of the Wild Jeffrey way. All Wild Jeffers must follow these in all aspects of their everyday life to be considered proper member of the Way.
1. Embracing Nature: The Wild Jeffrey Way of living revolves around a deep connection with nature. It involves spending ample time outdoors, immersing oneself in natural surroundings, and adopting a sustainable lifestyle that respects and preserves the environment.
2. Adventure and Exploration: A key aspect of the Wild Jeffrey Way is the pursuit of adventure and exploration. Followers of this lifestyle seek out new experiences, whether it be through hiking, camping, rock climbing, or engaging in other adrenaline-inducing activities that challenge and invigorate the spirit.
3. Community and Togetherness: Despite the emphasis on individual experiences, the Wild Jeffrey Way also emphasizes the importance of community and togetherness. Practitioners often gather in like-minded groups to share their passion for nature, support one another, and collaborate on conservation and environmental initiatives.
Wild Jeffrey I (originally Wild Geoffrey) served the Way diligently and with love. He served for 10 years before retiring from the head position, relinquishing it to his son, Wild Jeffrey II. In his retirement he still helped come up with new ways for the annual summer supplemental and offered sage wisdom to Wild Jeffers until he died of old age.
Wild Jeffrey II did not care much for the Way and is often the one blamed for the Way's fall from grace in 1989. He only served until 2015 reluctaly and without much contact with any followers of the Way. It is because of this laziness that the Practices from before 2014 were lost in the Great Fire. Many speculate this is why he retired from the position so abruptly.
Wild Jeffrey III is the saving grace of the Way. When he took over in 2015 he immedietly picked up the pieces that his father left behind, calming the Wild Jeffers when they panicked about the fire and slowly gathering a bigger following. It was his work and effort that made all of this possible. He is the savior of the Wild Jeffrey Way.
The great fire is a tragic part of Wild Jeffrey history. The original Practices and documents of the Way were all on paper stored in a warehouse on Vancouver Island. Wild Jeffrey I was old fashioned and, even though he could have digitized some it of it, decided it was easier to put it onto paper. When Wild Jeffrey II had taken over he could have digitized all of the files but did not because he did not repsect or care about the Way. It was because of this that in 2014 all the documents were destroyed in a fire that started in the warehouse after someone left a lit cigarette in it. It was only in 2022 that new Practices were added to the Way and everything was digitized.
Established in 1977
Was almost the Wild Geoffrey way before the idea was scrapped when research showed Jeffrey was the better way of spelling it.
The nick name "Wild Jeffers" was origionally used as a deragatory term towards followers of the Way while it was out of fashion during the reign of Wild Jeffrey II. It has since been reclaimed as a lighthearted nick name.
Since its inception, the Wild Jeffrey Way community holds an annual gathering called the "Wild Jeffers Jamboree." This week-long event features a series of fun and quirky activities, including dance-offs, storytelling contests, costume parades, and participation in the "Ode to Ouch" tradition, wherein competitors creatively incorporate the word "ouch" into the most absurd or poetic sentences during storytelling sessions.
In 1993, the Wild Jeffers made headlines when they attempted to break the world record for the longest conga line in a wilderness setting. While the record was not officially recognized due to its unconventional location, it remains a cherished memory within the community.
