You may remember B3Living getting in touch a few years ago to discuss potential designs for the White House.
Thank you to everyone who gave us feedback at the time.
Although those plans were approved, we received lots of positive feedback and some helpful comments from neighbours and wanted to take these on board. So, we went back, working closely with Borough of Broxbourne Council to create a more community-focused design.
Compared to the original proposal (from 2019) we’ve reduced the number of homes from 54 to 36 homes.
This design will also be 20% less dense than the original building.

In the updated plans, we’ve moved Building B.
Now, it’s smaller in scale and further away from neighbouring buildings to avoid any overlooking.
The designs now include a combination of pitched and flat roof, brick patterns, and cladding to make the frontage and exterior more aesthetically appealing.
The privacy of our neighbours is very important, so we have adjusted the scale and position of Building B to avoid overlooking other homes.
The roof on Building B will match the height of the blocks nearest to it.
Residents will come home to a safe and welcoming space, with a secure entrance to the communal gardens, high planting around the parking areas to act as a privacy buffer and recessed entrance doorways.
Other additions to improve privacy include:
Building B moved to avoid overlooking neighbouring homes
Planting around the car park
Better defined boundaries between the homes and street
