Warzone: Borhelia - a mini-campaign on the planet Boreliah in the Esenie system!
Campaign Turn 4 - The Dark Before the Dawn?
Borhelia has fallen to the Xenos!
The Xenos snatched a win in the last war efforts on the planet (for this time)! With both The Necrons and The Grandfather's Gift gone (it is a mystery why these armies left Borhelia), The Masque of the Weathered Grin and The Sons of Volund took control over the mysterious planet. With the shackles of the Necrons gone, there is no doubt that the Votann force will further explore Borhelia. But what the strange Harlequins, led by the enigmatic Faenor, will do is shrouded in mystery. And will they even stay? And will they allow the Votann to exploit Borhelia? Only time will tell...
The Imperial troops will surely leave the planet, but will most certainly observe from orbit and continue searching for answers in different ways. The Death Guard forces, along with the Heretic Marines have totally vanished... for now?
These battles will be fought after the summer and the battles that will be played are:
The Desolate Ones (Henrik) vs. The Raven's Beak (Tony)
The White Spear (Carl) vs. - Sons of Volund (Micke)
The Borh (Tony) - vs. The Joyful Coughing (Mathias)
Encounters!
In a furious battle, dubbed as The Battle at the Forbidden Gate, The Raven's Beak force, supported by the Knight Paladin "Night & Day" and Inquisitor Bellatrix and a Deathwatch Kill Team, engaged The Desolate Ones, led by Lord Acheron. The two forces clashed at a strange gate, now named as "The Forbidden Gate" and casualties were high on both sides. As the gate "bubbled" with a strange energy, the Raven Guard force crushed the left flank of the Chaos Heretics but took heavy casualties on their right flank. The Knight Paladin Night & Day went down, as did Inquisitor Bellatrix and The Raven Guard Lieutenant Pops. But there were also losses for the Heretics, as Chaplain Tannerus saved the day for the Imperial forces with a, now legendary, charge that wiped out a large Chaos squad and despatched the Chaos general himself; Lord Acheron! The battle ended in a draw and The Forbidden Gate continues to be active. What may erupt from it...?
The People of the Ka'haani (or The Borh) are on the brink of extinction and will perish if nothing can be done. In a desperate last attempt to call for aid, the Ka'haani leader has moved to the "Voice Stones" and will use them to plea to the Gods of the Ka'haani. They are uneasy about doing it, as their masters are fickle and dangerous. But this is their last chance and hope. The "Voice Stones" are three mysterious, green-glowing, rocks in the northern part of Borhelia and the remnants of the Ka'haani are moving there to try to use the stones to call for help. By studying ancient tomes, the Ka'haani leader has figured out a way to activate them. But time is running out and in the area there is a force of rotting men in gigantic suits. As the battle erupted, the Ka'haani desperately pressed on and with the help of two Slaaneshi machinations and a Daemon Prince, they actually managed to activate the "Voice Stones" and kill a large number of the Death Guard, including incapacitating their commander: Lord Sneeze... What will happen now is shrouded in mystery, but all factions on Borhelia will certainly have to prepare for even more dire times...
Free of their former "masters", The Sons of Volund can now embrace their true destiny and do what they do best... Prospect and mine for minerals and ore. Careless of the Imperial resistance, The Sons of Volund set their sights on the developing Imperial city of Austherlietz II. Their keen senses, intuition and spectral analysis told them that there were huge amounts of rare earth mineral in that area. This probe into Imperial perimeters did not go unnoticed and The White Spear responded by quickly intercepting the League of Votann. What followed was a harsh battle, where the Ultramarines were hampered by bad luck and Votann cunning and resolve! By slowly enveloping the Space Marines and hammer them with constant firepower, the Emperor's finest fell and withdraw, much to Inquisistor Bellatrix chagrain. And as the Chaos forces are now on the backfoot, it seems that Borhelia may be lost to the Xenos forces...
