Nikole White has a passion and commitment to making Kingman a better place. She does this through her work at Unisource and her involvement in Venture. Nikole is married to the love of her life, Nick, and they have four beautiful children. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. Nikole has been with Venture since 2015. She is a very active member and has served as Board Director, Recording Secretary, Vice President and is currently serving as the President. Nikole loves being able to make a positive impact on her community through her work with the Venture Club.
Tonya Baxley moved to Kingman in 2014. She quickly engaged with her community, first by joining Venture and then by joining the faculty at Mohave Community College. She has acted as the service chair for the last three years and has previously been the Board Director. She teaches various biology courses on the Kingman campus and online. She has recently become a CASA and is deeply committed to serving the most vulnerable members of our community. When she's not volunteering or working, she loves sewing, reading, and spoiling her pets.
Laura Shaffer was born and raised in Kingman. Her and her husband, Bart, opened A.S.A.P. Repair in April of 2017. She is a an avid supporter of Kingman Aid to Abused People and is passionate about helping vulnerable women in our community. She is also currently an accounting student with MCC. She spends any free time she has camping or enjoying other outdoor activities with her husband and her 5-year-old son. We are excited that she has taken on the role of Venture's treasurer for the next two years.
Leah Armendariz has always had a heart for Kingman, and her and her husband, Patrick, were thankful for the opportunity to move back to a smaller town to raise their two beautiful children. She is passionate about helping the community through service. Along with Venture, she is always working to help where needed at Cornerstone Mission and Emmanuel Christian Academy. She loves spending time with her children and instilling in them the importance of volunteerism and love for your community. Leah joined Venture Club in 2017 and has also served on the board as Recording Secretary.
Kamekea Longmire has a heart for serving others and her community. She and her husband, Maurice, chose to make Kingman their home and raise their children here. Not only does Kamekea serve on Venture Club, she also serves in multiple capacities at her church, Hope City. She enjoys spending time with family and friends--especially her awesome grandchildren! She has been with Venture since May 2015, serving as Recording Secretary, Vice President, President, Past President and currently serves as Recording Secretary.
Edith Byrne has always been passionate about making the world a better place, and joining venture Club has her the opportunity to do so. Edith has been married to her husband for almost 20 years, has two bright children and a wonderful rescue dog. Edith loves traveling and has been all over the world, exploring other communities and cultures. Since moving to Kingman, Edith has been working at the Dell E. Webb Wellness Center and helps people stay healthy while having a good time. Edith is an active venture club member and a board director, and loves helping her community be the best it can be.
Deborah A. Liverence, or Deb as her friends call her, is a local attorney in Kingman. Her practice revolves around “at-risk” youth which includes foster children and delinquent children. She graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 1995. She then moved to Arizona. She actively participates in several community organizations and projects. Deb enjoys her pups, visiting Disneyland, and spending time with her friends. She has been active in Venture Club since 2005, both as a member and adviser.
