Oh! How I wish to be as gentle as a breeze
Touch the beautiful sky and other's smile I reach
Spread the fragrance of love in the gloomy life
Calm the waves of chaos in a blink of an eye
Oh! How I wish to be as bright as the cerulean sky
With no missing pieces of the dark past to cry
The simple singularity of my broken dreams
Wouldn't make me lonely on this dark night
Oh! How I wish to be as warm as the Sun
And can show my gentle side
Touch the hearts with my kindness
Instead of breaking them into pieces of chime

मैंने रोते रोते लोगों को हँसते देखा है,
ठोकर खाकर गिरते संभलते देखा है,
आँखों में दरिया उतर रहा हो,
फ़िर भी होठों को खिलते देखा है,
उम्र के पहिए पर घिसते घिसते,
बचपन की ओर दौड़ते देखा है,
अपनी आँखों पर पट्टी बांधे,
तूफ़ानों में उतरते देखा है,
लहरों से लड़ते लड़ते,
किनारों पर ठहरते देखा है,
राहों में भटके राही की तरह,
मैंने लोगों को बिखरते देखा है,
मंज़िल को मंज़र में रखकर,
उन्हें फ़िर से निखरते देखा है,
मौत को हर रोज़ मात देकर,
मैंने लोगों को ज़िंदगी संजोते देखा है,
साँस हर कोई भरता है सीने में,
पर मैंने लोगों को जीते देखा है!

कुंडल कवच सहित जन्मा हो,
