PS5, or PlayStation 5 as it’s fully titled, is Sony’s fifth home console and the successor to the hugely successful PS4 console (released in November 2013). At this point the manufacturer has not released a PS5 release date, although it has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 next-gen console will launch worldwide at some point during “Holiday 2020”, further to this the company also has not revealed an official PS5 price, although ‘placeholder PS5 pre-orders‘ have been released by some retailers already. So with that said this guide is based around what we know so far, as well as some information which we have based on previous trends with this manufacturer as well as how certain dates etc fall into the 2020 calendar.
HERE IS OUR TAKE ON THE PS5 RELEASE DATE:
Looking at how the calendar falls this year it would seem like mid to late November is the aiming point.
Going on previous trends it would seem like the second half of November 2020. About a week or so before Thanksgiving in the USA.
Some games that are “PS5 Games” back-up the idea of a mid-November release date. Assassins Creed Valhalla has been marked as November 17th, the same day that Fortnite will release.
Coincidence or not this fits into the speculated release date that most in the industry seem to agree on.
