Like many other states, Louisiana has implemented New Generation Science Standards as our mandatory Science curriculum. The curriculum comes to us with minimal resources from the state. With this being the case, we go out there an search.
As a Science teacher, I've used various resources in my classroom. These resources come from various sources, but are used collaboratively to teach the standards that need to be taught.

Mystery Doug provides the answers to questions we always had about ordinary things in the world. Very interesting and the kids LOVE it!

Discovery Education has several resources available to educators to assist in teaching lessons in all subject areas. Teachers create student accounts and students can access videos, activities, and images related to the topic being studied.
Students are engaged and excited about learning when logged in to Brainpop Jr. Schools and/or school districts are eligible to purchase subscriptions. In doing so, students are able to access Brainpop at home or school and complete the various activities available. Another EXCELLENT site!
