I am a 3rd grade teacher in the great state of Louisiana! Woohoo! It's a wonderful place to live and the food is amazing! You all should try it!
As you can tell, I love to eat. A little about myself....
I've been teaching elementary for 10 years and I'm very happy I made the decision to do so. Prior to teaching, I was an insurance agent. I did not feel satisfied in that particular career, and made the decision to continue my education in Elementary Education.
Upon completing my undergraduate degree from University of Louisiana at Lafayette, I began teaching 5th grade for one year and later taught 3rd grade, which is what I am currently teaching. I have to say that I think this is the best grade. From observing and conversing with fellow teachers, I know that 3rd grade rocks.
Approximately 2 years ago, I began toying with the idea of continuing my education. The thing was that I was unsure of the route to take. At this same time, I had a phenomenal administrator that encouraged me to continue my education in Educational Leadership. After praying about it, I decided to take the plunge. In doing so, I've learned so much about myself and the direction I am reading to go in the future.
Through this site, I hope to share helpful information and tips to provide guidance to fellow educators.
