The Four motions

Our Coaching Approach focuses on the following FOUR areas:

• Behavior

  • Interventions will focus on classroom management strategies.  Effective learning and artful teaching cannot take place in chaos.

• Content

  • Interventions will focus on prioritizing, questioning techniques, organizing information and strategies to present the content.  Effective learning and artful cannot teaching take place with a good road map of the content information.

• Direct Instruction

  • Interventions will focus on enhancing ways the content is presented to improve engagement and student mastery of knowledge for the teacher who practices good classroom management and has mastery of content.

• Formative Assessment

  • Interventions will focus on developing the "literacy" that teachers have pertaining to the design of assessments for specific purposes.
