Learning should be a process filled with joy, curiosity, and wonder. In our class, we honour student voice and choice by allowing students a say in making decisions about their learning and how they demonstrate it. When you pair a love of learning with your talents, you can find your spark.

Everything is connected. From our choices at the grocery store, to farmers in far away countries, to weather patterns, animal migrations, which children get to go to school, and more. This understanding of interconnectedness is a theme we return to again and again throughout the year.Â

I believe learning should be joyful, at every age. Students should have choice in their learning and be led by curiosity and creativity. We need time and space to make mistakes and explore. I maintain a high expectation of participation and communication of learning in our class. Today's learners will be tomorrow's leaders.
