Building, Remodeling, Improving ...

To build a house, remodel, reroof, repaint outside, install a pool, solar array, landscaping or fence, an Approval Request form and deposit must be submitted in advance to the home owners association's Architectural Control Committee (ACC). 

Work may not start until approval is granted. Approval of permits by El Dorado County or the El Dorado Hills Community Services District does not negate the necessity to obtain approval from the ACC. The ACC is allowed 60 days to approve requests, though it usually does so much sooner.

Below are guidelines, forms and notices to help and get authorization to proceed before you begin work. Failure to obtain approval in advance can result in a $5,000 fine, or worse.
