LOGLINE: From deep in the American South come three unique creators, building spaces for the invisible stories of their forgotten communities.  

SYNOPSIS:  In the grand Southern tradition of storytelling, three unique content creators build distinctive digital landscapes from which they can be heard and seen – empowering not just their own voices, but those of their communities as well: Breezy, the empathetic observer; Jeremy, the generous advocate, and Michael, the authentically different outlier. 

PBS: FROM FRONT PORCHES TO FEEDS is one of eight films in the PBS Creative Voices series, “The Story in Us”, a new anthology series premiering on PBS VOICES, a documentary-focused YouTube channel. Produced in collaboration with PBS Creative Voices Ignite Filmmakers Program, the eight-part series explores how culture, history, and identity are preserved through the universal art of storytelling.

Director’s Bio: Ciara Ingram is a New York City-based digital producer and visual storyteller with deep roots in the South –specifically Memphis, TN, and West Memphis, AR. Her work sits at the intersection of sports culture, emerging creator communities, and defining moments in history.

She has helped grow digital communities and build original content platforms for leading voices in sports entertainment and culture, including SLAM Magazine, WSLAM, NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, and NBA Champion Avery Johnson.

Her work includes the digital series EmergingNYC and the short documentary The Historic HBCU Photograph.
