Founded in 1963, the St. Ann Choir is dedicated to the preservation of Gregorian Chant as an integral part of the Roman Catholic liturgy. In addition to a complete year's cycle of chant for Sunday Masses and selected holy days, the choir also sings Medieval and Renaissance choral music, including polyphonic mass settings on high feast days and other special occasions. Since 1998, the choir has been based at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Palo Alto, where it moved after the closing of its original home, the St. Ann Chapel of the Stanford University Newman Center. The Choir is available for weddings, funeral Masses, and other liturgical events by special arrangement.

Most Sundays, members of the St. Ann Choir gather at 5:00 p.m. to sing traditional Latin Vespers in Gregorian Chant at the original home of the Choir, the St. Ann Chapel, 541 Melville Ave., Palo Alto (now part of the Anglican Province of Christ the King).
