The Father place a seed inside of Mary which gave birth to a human, a son that was completely spirit with a flesh cover.

1 The book of the generation of Yeshua, the son of David, the son of Abraham the Hebrew.

2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;

5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

14 And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;

15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.

Yeshua was a figure described in the Bible:

The Tanakh, the Bible of the Jewish people, also known at the Old Testament, is full of proof and promise about a Savior who would come from the line of King David and redeem people from their sin and brokenness. Yeshua perfectly fulfilled over 324 prophecies about the coming Messiah in the Tanakh.

According to mathematician Peter Stoner, the probabilities of any one person fulfilling even 48 of the over 324 Messianic prophecies found in the Tanakh. This is as likely as the chance of finding, on the very first attempt, one specific electron out of all of the electrons in all the known mass of the entire universe!

Yeshua fulfilled many ancient prophecies including:

• Messiah is to be born of a virgin: Isaiah 7:14, (Matthew 1:18-2:1, Luke 1:26-35)
• Messiah is to be born in Bethlehem: Micah 5:2, (Matt. 2:1-7, John 7:42, Luke 2:4-7)
• Messiah is to be raised from the dead: Isaiah 53:9-10, Psalm 2:7, 16:10, (Matthew 28:1-20, Acts 2:23-36,13:33-37, 1 Corinthians 11:4-6)

Yeshua claimed to be the Son of God:

• Then they all said, “‘Are You then Ben-Elohim (Son of God)?’ And to them He said, ‘You say that I am’” (Luke 22:70 TLV)
• "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30 NIV)
• "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6 NIV)

Yeshua showed He was the Son of God by doing a number of unprecedented miracles including:

• Raising the dead to life (John 11:1-44)
• Giving sight to the blind (Mark 10:46-52)
• Healing leprosy (Luke 17:11-19)
• Healing a paralyzed man (Matthew 9:1-8)

God Gives His Name to People

After the "Aaronic Blessing" is pronounced over the people of Israel (Numbers 6:24-26), God tells Aaron and his sons: "So they shall put [sim] my Name on the children of Israel" (v. 27). This act becomes a key identity marker in the future.

In the book of Jeremiah, God gives his name both to the future son of David (the Messiah) and to Jerusalem. King and people are owned by, belong to, share the divine Name of their God.

I shall raise up for David a rigteous Branch [or Son]...

This is the name by which he will be called:

YHVH Tzidkeinu ["the LORD our righteousness"].

(Jer 23:5, 6)

In those days Judah shall be saved,

And Jerusalem shall dwell in safety;

and this is the Name by which she will be called:

YHVH Tzidkeinu. (Jer 33:16)

Accordingly, in Matthew 1:21 "Yeshua" is the name God gave his Son. It is his birth-name.

"She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Yesous [Greek; Yeshua in Hebrew], for it is he who will save his people from their sins."

Then note the play on words on the name "Yeshua" and the noun "yeshuah" that Hebrew speakers would hear in Acts 4:

"There is salvation [Heb. yeshuah] in no one else; for there is no other Name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved [Heb. yasha]" (v. 12).
