After a month of rest, the time for the meeting had finally arrived. Lysa brought along her Sub-Boss, Takeo, who was also her boyfriend. Takeo had been away on a mission the entire month, so he was surprised when Lysa filled him in on the recent developments with the Liberty. Determined to make an impact, Lysa decided to bring all the members of the Liberty with her. They mounted their Velostriders and embarked on a long journey, crossing the sea by boat to reach Coasta. Along the way, they encountered Yachi, the Boss of the Star, who was also headed to the meeting. Although Yachi and Lysa barely knew each other, they decided to travel together.
The journey took two days, finally bringing them to the city of Anclona. It was a stunning, modern city with gleaming white buildings that towered above them. Eucalyptus was visibly impressed by the grandeur of the Angels' HQ, a massive structure with sleek, towering spires and intricately designed facades. "It’s just for show," Zephyr muttered, rolling his eyes, which drew chuckles from the others—except him, of course. Even his Velostrider seemed to snort in amusement.
Inside, they were greeted by a young boy named Luciole, one of the Angels’ Sub-Bosses, despite being only 17. Eyeing the newcomers suspiciously, he asked about their presence. “They’re friends. They need to speak with you all,” Lysa responded firmly, knowing that Luciole would be wary of unfamiliar faces at the meeting. Annoyed, he shook his head and replied, “Let me talk to Kathi first.” Kathi, the Boss of the Angels, was the one who would decide. A few minutes later, Elsa, the other Sub-Boss and Luciole’s sister, arrived. “Sorry about my brother. He can be a jerk sometimes,” she said with a chuckle, her demeanor much friendlier. “No problem, we’ve got worse in our group,” Shaya joked, glancing at Zephyr, who rolled his eyes again, this time with a grin. “So, what did Kathi say?” Eucalyptus asked, more seriously. “You can join us, since three Bosses are with you,” Elsa replied, before noticing Moki. “Ah, strange to see you here, Moki,” she said. Moki, who had never attended a meeting before, responded nervously, “Yeah, I figured it was time to make an effort.” NaïKu, amused, gave him an affectionate smile.
Finally, they entered the meeting room, a vast space dominated by a large table. Kathi stood at the head, exuding authority. As she looked at Eucalyptus and her companions, Eucalyptus introduced herself as the leader of the Liberty, an organization dedicated to destroying the Cross. Kathi raised an eyebrow, then smiled. “I’ve been waiting for something like this,” she said, surprising Eucalyptus. Zetsu, who had been silent until now, spoke up. “What do you mean?” he asked. Kathi’s tone grew serious. “The Cross must be stopped,” she replied, but then added, “Let’s wait for MaïRu to arrive.” MaïRu was the Boss of the Triangle. “The Boss of the Tear won’t come?” Eucalyptus asked, surprised. Kathi shook her head. “No, and frankly, that’s a relief. He’s nearly as bad as Kimi and Nao.” The idea that someone could be worse than the Boss of the Cross left Eucalyptus stunned. Just then, a man in his forties entered the room—MaïRu. He looked puzzled at the unfamiliar faces. “Hey, Kathi. And you are…?” he asked, eyeing the group curiously. Once again, Eucalyptus introduced herself and her team.
The meeting finally commenced. Kathi reiterated the importance of destroying the Cross, and after a lengthy debate, she agreed to let Eucalyptus lead the mission. MaïRu, after much persuasion—especially from an exasperated Yachi—also decided to join the Liberty. The Angels, of course, pledged their support as well.
With one more region left to secure, Eucalyptus knew her next challenge would be Litskeb, the region of terror, where the formidable Boss of the Tear ruled. She sighed, realizing that despite the difficulties ahead, she had no choice but to seek his help.
