Background and History

Asael died at the age of 16, but their soul reemerged 410 years ago. After being killed by Shaya during the Big War in Year 0, Asael’s soul fractured into two separate entities due to its immense power—one soul could not contain its full force.

These two aspects are known as Kimi and Nao. Kimi is always smiling, embodying a facade of cheerfulness, while Nao is perpetually serious and never smiles. The two are almost always apart, each manifesting their distinct personalities. The only time they unite is during battles, where their combined power becomes necessary.

Once, Shaya was their best friend before the Big War, but their relationship has since transformed into a bitter enmity. For more details on Asael's backstory, refer to the Context section.
