At The Singtuary, we believe:
Singing is for everyone. You do not need a trained voice, musical experience or the ability to read music.
Connection matters more than perfection. Singing is not about getting every note right, it is about sharing the experience with others.
Singing supports wellbeing. Studies suggest that singing can lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol and stimulate brain chemicals associated with pleasure, connection and social bonding, including dopamine and oxytocin. It can lift our mood, release tension and give us space to breathe, create and reconnect with ourselves.
Singing together creates belonging. When voices come together, we can feel part of something bigger and a little less alone. There is evidence to show that when groups of people singing together, their heartbeats become synchronised!
Parents deserve spaces that welcome real life. Babies, children, movement, noise and a little chaos need not prevent parents and carers from enjoying music and connection.
Every voice deserves encouragement. Warm, low-pressure experiences can help children, teenagers and adults explore their voices and grow in confidence.
Singing should bring joy. Our songs are accessible, learned together and chosen for the pleasure of making music with others.
