Throughout the rest of the year we will be choosing individual projects to donate to Operation Gratitude. They have patterns for sewing and crocheting, outlines for letters, instructions for making bracelets, and many other things you can choose to donate. We encourage you to make at least 2 of your projects. Of course, something like writing letters is simpler than crocheting something, so if you choose to write letters please make at least 5! We will be collecting all donations in the Collections Box. The box will stay out indefinitely so all who want to can donate during the year! I will also specify certain weeks when I would like you to focus on making something so I can ship it out the following week.

Year Round!
May is mental health awareness month, and this year we will start a new initiative called the Pin It! Project. The goal of this project is to spread love and positivity throughout the community/our school by pinning strangers with clothing pins. The pins will be decorated and have a positive word or message on them! The idea is to pin the person without them noticing, and if they don't want to keep your pin, they can pass the notion of kindness on! As a member, you are required to make AT LEAST 20 clothes pins. You are absolutely welcome to make more, but these 20 should last you the rest of the month. The clothes pins can be found at the dollar store and decorated using markers, paint, stickers, etc! I will schedule a meeting for us to decorate pins together on a day that works for everyone. (It will then be added to the calendar above)
In order to verify your hours, I (Lillian) need proof that you met the minimum number of pins. To do this, I would like a picture sent to me via the groupchat. Finally, this is an initiative that can be continued any time of year as well, so feel free to keep making and distributing pins whenever you like!
