Reese finished off the season strong by continuing to work hard at practices to get ready for conference. She was determined to do well and had lots of energy for all of her swims. Great job, Reese!
Charlotte has put in so much work this summer to continue bettering herself as well as cheering on her brother and teammates! She can always be found on the deck singing out someone's name as they swim. Thanks for a great year, Char!
Molly managed to pull off SERIOUS time drops in all of her events for conference! She could be found behind the block focusing on her upcoming race and doing what was needed to get ahead of the competition. Great season, Molly!
Julianna put in lots of work to make sure that her strokes were legal for conference, and that hard work paid off with no DQs! She is someone who can take coaching comments, apply them, and continue to work on that aspect of her swim day after day. Great job, Julianna!
Connor is someone who daily works hard to improve his swimming. I have seen such improvement on his dives and flipturns and have been immensely proud of his hard work! He is also someone who can be found cheering for anyone on the team at any time, and that is super appreciated. Great job, Connor!

Emily has been working hard at practice and has been doing a great job at her meets. She was the biggest sport about me throwing her in the water even after already showering! Great work this whole season, Emily!
Jeimy has been absolutely rocking it at practices! She is someone who is always coachable and works super hard to keep up a good pace. Keep it up, Jeimy!
Kayden has been pulling out great surprises while at our swim meets. He is continuing to surprise me with what he can do and has a great effort each day at practice. Great job, Kayden!
Abby stole the show playing guitar at our last home meet! She is someone that can always be counted on to support her teammates by filling in where needed and being flexible. Great work, Abby!
Jose has been making goals and putting in the work to reach those goals. He is able to set realistic standards for himself and hold himself accountable. Keep that up, Jose!

Laura is someone who is always working hard during the summer season as well as in the off season. Everything that she continues to learn, she is able to help me model for other swimmers in her practice group. She does awesome at taking notes and using them to improve how she is swimming. Keep up the great work!
Owen was super helpful during the Villa Park meet when I asked him to help out a few younger swimmers to make sure they were ready for their race. He has been doing a great job of taking the coaching comments about his swims and applying it, keep that up! He has big goals to break records and I know you can reach them.
Walker has been determined to improve his swimming which has led to spending more time outside of practice going over everything that he wanted to work on. This extra work has shown at each meet, and I am excited to see where we can end the season at!
Danny has been super helpful at helping give guidance to younger swimmers and taking extra time in order to do that. He continues to be a role model both for having fun as well as putting in great work into the season.Â

Alina has been stepping up to new challenges and has been working hard at practices. She has been working on developing her strokes and endurance and has been doing a great job of getting into the flow of what a swim team practice looks like. Great work, Alina!
Taylor has been surprising me with her willingness to get in and learn this last week. She has been determined to do well personally as well as watching and working with her peers to continue to develop her strokes. Keep up the good work, Taylor!
Franco is someone who has a great attitude for everything and can be a guaranteed laugh when you need one. He was determined to still swim at last Saturday's swim meet, even after already played a soccer game before. He is someone who never complains about the events that he swims at meets and is just there to do his best every time. Great job, Franco!
Amelia is a swimmer to always work hard during practices. She takes observations about her strokes and can be seen trying something new to improve. Amelia has had great attendance to practices and is also one of the first people in the water (even on our coldest of days!). Keep up the great work, Amelia!

Kate was a great help last week during our drill days working one-on-one with newer swimmers to help them get caught up with the different strokes, what they look like, and helping them solidify better body positioning for the strokes we were working on. Thank you always for your help!
Paige worked really hard this week during drills to make sure she understood what the drills were doing to help better her stroke and then applied those drills to her swims at our first meet. I was so happy to see that immediate application and dedication to improve!
Isabella is a new face to the Sailfish but she does not let that stop her from learning all that she can learn by asking questions and applying that to her swimming. She has been dedicated this week to learn the (what seems like) hundreds of components that go into each race and not letting that become overwhelming. Keep up that great work!
Ivan is also a new Sailfish who has been working hard at developing his strokes and asking questions to learn more about anything and everything. He is always prepared and willing to learn and try something new and has done a great job of keeping up. Keep up that great work, Ivan!
Another new Sailfish, Parker has also done a fabulous job of watching older swimmers, asking questions about their strokes and then applying it to his own swimming. He has been working hard at practices and always ready to be the first in the water. Great work, Parker!
Lee has been able to surprise me several times over the past week, and I want him to know how much I've appreciated his hard work. There has been a ton of growth from last year in terms of willingness to listen, remember, and apply things he is told to fix in his stroke as well as his readiness to get in the water despite not having super hot weather. To top it off, he swam up with the 9-10s for a relay on Saturday (8 & under relays are swam as 4x25 verses 9 & older are swam as 4x50). Thank you, Lee!
I also want to give a shout out to Kennedy who has been and will be working with me to coach the younger kids in the mornings. Having you there has helped give more eyes and advice than I am able to give as just myself, so thank you!
