My work is about exploring and expressing how I feel about myself and how I interact with the world. A part of that process is exploring materiality/ immersing myself in the making cycle. Common themes in my art are the ideas of being perceived, my experiences with ADHD and mental health, and the interactions of my viewers. Oftentimes, I feel as though I live in a different world than most people. My art helps me to bring people into that world. Texture and color are heavy components in my work. I am drawn to colors that make me feel alive and grounded. Visual and physical texture captivates me. When creating, I tend to choose laborious repetitive processes. Getting lost in the motion of doing and creating soothes me.
