If I am not busy, you can find me playing video games. I am a gamer through and through. So is my family!
I play games on my PC, Switch, and PS5.
My favorites are cozy games, like Stardew Valley, The Sims 1 2 3 & 4, Dreamlight Valley, Animal Crossing, Planet Zoo, and Coral Island.
I also enjoy other games like World of Warcraft (classic specifically), Star Wars the Old Republic, Phasmophobia, Don't Starve, and Hogwarts Legacy.
I am pro-choice through and through. I had a medically necessary abortion that saved my life in 2021. I suffered an ectopic pregnancy that hemorrhaged, and I almost didn't make it out of that one!
The freedom and right to choose what happens to YOUR body is a massive part of why Doula work called to me. We are often told there is only ONE "right" way to live in our bodies and experience our lives. And that is not true. Almost nothing in this world is truly one size fits all.
One of my missions is to fight for you, and with you to make sure you feel cared for, listened to, and respected.
Autonomy is a basic human right.
My son was born in January 2020, when I was 19 years old. Being alone with a newborn through covid was one of the scariest and most isolating experiences of my life. My boyfriend at the time (now husband) worked almost nonstop. He also had to return to work 2 weeks after our son was born. I struggled greatly with my mental health. I suffered immensely while nursing my son who had oral ties.
I had almost zero support through this fragile time and it still to this day makes me so sad for who I was then. She was not okay. And she needed someone to tell her she was doing everything right and was not making mistakes constantly.
His labor altogether was 25 hours. I had a spontaneous water break on his duedate and labor started shortly after. His birth was beautiful and transformative. His birth truly was MY birth. A new version of me was born at that moment.
And now my kiddo is wild and fun and silly and so smart. Being his mom is the best thing I have ever known. I am so grateful to him and the experiences he continues to give me.
My husband and I met when we were in 5th grade. He was my best friend through almost all of our school experience from then on.
When we were 17, he finally told me he loved me and like obviously it was mutual. He is my soul's home. He is my safe place.
Also, he helped me make our kiddo so bonus points for that one.
