EVO. Ⅱ
This is Eric's second LEGO prosthetic constructed within a week. The set was originally from a LEGO Technic boat set, and some other spare pieces. The concept remains the same. The claw parts are based off the first prototype and the functionality is hidden in the elbow joint piece. The elbow joint is made using 2 individual moving components that are linked together with a rubber band for flexibility. There is a long string attached to the claw part of the prosthetic, which connects to the elbow joint and adjusted near the bicep. By tightening the string and applying tension, the claw will open and close upon moving your elbow from a 180 to 90 degree angle. This prosthetic is designed for the left arm, extending all the way up to the bicep.
The elbow joint piece. Made using random LEGO Technic pieces and a bit of brain storming.
